Thoughts? I’m scared

I’m about to separate and have had (almost) all of my exams. I’m very scared at the thought that my migraines and back pain will be judged as not service connected. When I first came in, I was young and dumb and said that I did have these both before service.

However, how they both are now are exponentially worse than before. My migraines before were MAYBE, at most, once a month; now they’re AT LEAST once a week. The back pain was “oh yeah my back hurt a little bit before,” and now it is extremely debilitating. I used to be super active and fit, and now I don’t do anything — have been on a full profile for almost a year now, do not work out at all and hardly do anything in my free time.

I don’t have a life anymore because of the military, though I’m still scared that I won’t be properly rated.

edit: I am also scared because I also have MH issues. I was denied a MEB because my providers made themselves believe all my physical issues/pain are caused from my mental issues — which could not be any more offensively wrong, as I did not start seeing mental health for 1.5-2 years after my physical health started declining. Anyways, I’m scared the VA may do the same thing and judge everything else as not as severe due to the MH issues.

I know I shouldn’t be worried since I haven’t gotten my rating yet, but I can’t help it.

Preexisting conditions made worse by military service can be compensated.

Life is not over when a person separates from the service. There are many opportunities ahead. Pick one and prepare yourself to life a new life. There are many peole looking to hire right now.
