Time line 6 months and still going

AUG 2nd: Diagnosed and placed on Limdu
AUG 8th: Placed in PEB/Checked into TPU
OCT 28th: Finished my appts with the VA
OCT 31st: Signed my packet and med board was sent off
NOV 3: My packet was received by Regional 120 day countdown begins

I still have no idea how much longer I'll have to wait but I know from E-benefits I'm being rated right now by the VA, and its at the temporary office in Cleveland has jurisdiction over my claim. I noticed there are 2 claim status one of them is closed the other open. Does anyone no why it's like that?

Yeah, the VA regional office that your case is assigned to may be overloaded with claims so they send your package to another regional office, which in this case is the Cleveland office. They will ensure everything in your claim is complete and propose a rating. Then your eBenefits will shortly say "Decision notification sent, case complete" (it only took mine a couple of days to say that). What this means is that your case is complete with the Cleveland office, and was sent back to your original regional office for your "official rating" and then all of the final signatures. This process takes a little bit longer (national average of about 34 days before your claim is totally complete from the time it is sent from Cleveland and from the time the original regional offices "gets to your case"). I hope that makes sense. This is exactly how my claim is going as well. Good Luck!

I was curious about this too. Mine has been sitting at the "Pending Decision Approval" stage for the past month or so. Thought maybe it didn't go final until MEB/PEB process was complete. Will continue to watch it and see what happens.

Twiztid,

I'm curious about that, too. Mine has been at "Pending Decision Approval" since 13 January. Two months seems...excessive.

Anyone have some input?

Thanks,
Green

I signed my findings on Feb 29th and mine still says "Pending Decision Approval". Well actually let me check....Yep!! "Pending Decision Approval" That site is garbage and you might as well quit looking at it. I have heard it can take like 6 months for it to be updated past where it is now.

alright so i figured ide post up too,

My PEB case was recieved by the VA 27OCT11, ive been on Eben looking at the status and it has said "Pending Decision Approval" for 2 months now, even my PEBLO says its at the VA. I am getting frustrated myself because im 2 months past my EAOS already just sitting here in limbo and nobody can give me a dang answer or timeline. So pretty much im waiting for someone to sign my papers and send them back to the Navy and its been 2 months

I was hoping that the e-ben site would serve as some sort of "gauge" of where my package was in IPEB process, as there is no other means of tracking. This is one part of the system that I believe is severly broken and wish they would fix; provide a website or some other medium in which you can track your IPEB process. To sit around for months on end not knowing what the decision is going to be is bad enough...then to just get that dreaded phone call one day asking you to come in to get results is even worse.

Regarding my status on E-ben, mine is actually showing "Complete" now and states: "The VA has sent a decision packet to you by U.S. mail. The packet includes details of the decision or award." Because of the MEB/IPEB process, I am not sure if the packet really is sent to me or not. I haven't recieved anything, and it has shown "Complete" for a week or so now. I would assume this is for people who apply for benefits using traditional methods. If anyone has any knowledge on this, please share.

Thanks to all that have thrown Post Replies up on this thread.

im not sure, i called the Navy PEB people yesterday and asked the status of my package, they told me the whole thing was sent back to me completed as of March 16th. I still havent had my PEBLO call me yet. on Eben, it still says "Pending Decision Approval" so im pretty sure there screwed up . Hopefully i hear something here soon.

I'm just wondering, my EAOS is comming up and I'm in the IDES process. What will happen, do I extend? who would initiate this, me , my command, my PEBLO?
thanks

My EAOS was 5 Dec 2011, June 5 my second extension expires. My PEBLOs assistant at PT Admin emails PSD about two weeks prior to expiration and the week after I get my paperwork for my new CAC card
