My claim is in it's final stages an has been since the 7th of Jan. A proposed rating has been reached and forwarded to AFPC Randolph on the 7th. I haven't heard anything further... The VA is saying they are waiting for the Air Force to concur in order to finalize and said I should be able to get the proposed rating from my PEBLO. My PEBLO told me she hasn't heard or received anything from AFPC nor did she see anything updated in the Veteran's Tracking System! Anyone who's been at this stage, is this how things went for you also? How long did you have to wait on AFPC? Where you able to get your proposed rating from PEBLO? I am in the IDES. Thanks for any insight.

Just hang in there it should be soon. The V.A finished my findings and sent them back to AFPC on Dec 13th and I didnt get the call from my PEBLO till Jan10th. Look in this forum under case timelines for more info. Also I signed everything on the 13th of Jan and still no orders yet.

Well the only option there is is to get out in less then 45 days, which i did not take. I have 55 days of leave plus the 20 ppty. They said 4 weeks to get orders back, this friday will be 3 weeks ill keep you posted on what happens. I'm also USAF and went through IDES.

Orders get cut by 4 different people, and they divide up who does them by the last 4 of your social. I know one of the people usually gets it done in about a week, but on the opposite side, one of them takes upwards of a month.

It seems like I'm in same boat as you are/were in and wondering if you have received anything back from AFPC/your PEBLO? I've checked eBenefits and it states that I'll be receiving a letter in the mail with the decision of the percentage that I will be receiving (I'm guessing). This was on back on 13 Mar and when I spoke with my PEBLO she stated she hasn't seen any updates from AFPC but if the VA has decided on a rating then it will most likely come back as 'unfit'. Did it take the month like previously stated/suggested in the earlier threads or are you still waiting? Anyone that can shed some light/answer will be much appreciated.
My IPEB was logged in at Randolph the 2nd of Feb. According to the VA, they also sent their proposed rating on the 2nd of Feb, and my ebenefits states, "Pending decision approval." It has been this way since 2 Feb. I spoke to my case manager and every week she keeps saying, "They said they will get to yours by the end of the week, etc." As of today the IPEB has still not "convened." One of the board members e-mailed her last week stating, "It is taking us 60 days to do cases again, we are not even getting to them until they have been logged in 45 days, we should get to hers by the end of the month." Your peblo can log into some website and look to see if Randolph found you unfit or fit, but it is not official and some peblos don't even like doing that until they receive it in hand. I am also stationed here in San Antonio and my case manager said after the board meets, if they already have the VA proposed rating and agree with it, they send the required separation documents to the VA and then mail everything back to your peblo, which takes roughly a week. Not sure how accurate this info is but this is what I have been told.
Thanks for the info. Seems the date I previously thought it was (13 Mar) was when VA "Regulatory or Procedural Review"ed my claim. 20 Mar is when it was closed/mailed to me. If I'm understanding you correctly, the board meets after they have the VA proposed rating and then send the documents out if they agree with it? It sounds close to what my PEBLO said and just want to confirm before I let my supervision know of any updates after I receive the letter from the VA.
Well I am still confused on the VA part because my VA claim started in December, having my C&P exams in beginning of Jan and then my ebenefits started changing in late Jan; Then on 2 Feb my account stated, "Pending decision approval." I have called the VA several times asking if they had already done their rating or what this even means, sometimes the VA would say, "Yes we are done, just waiting on the PEB to accept the findings," and other times, "No we are still doing yours we are waiting for your separation documents from the PEB." My PEBLO informed me Monday about the board finding me unfit on Friday and they sent my package to the VA for ratings- Called the VA today and they still have not received anything from the PEB, so I am assuming it is snail mail and not electronic like they claim. So I have no clue at this point- other than AFPC stating the average wait time for the VA to give a proposed rating back to the PEB is around 4-6 weeks, some later and some earlier-depending on how many conditions you have. I then asked about how long it takes once the PEB gets the ratings back, and my PEBLO said, "If the PEB agrees typically I get it within 10-14 days." Who really knows honestly because I have been reading where others are taking longer. I am here in San Antonio so maybe thats why it is quicker for my PEBLO to get them back.
well just an update, im in the Navy, and i called the Navy PEB people in WA DC and asked about the status of my package because my PEBLO did not have an update so i was being ansy and called myself, the lady told me that they mailed my findings to me on 16Mar12, it is now 27MAR12 and my PEBLO has yet to see my papers. People say that there is a 10 day window, im at 11 days. I have been waiting since OCT for my PEB process, kinda want to know whats going on.

I started the MEB process in Oct 11- Did my va apts in Nov and then they sent up my package to afpc and the va on dec 16. I got my ratings and my ruling on 2 apr. I am just now waiting for my orders... It has been over a week and I really just want to be done.
You're right on the same timeline as mine and at least you got your ruling back already. I'm still waiting. I know what you mean about just wanting to be done....think I've been there since October.
nyang/usaf -1058GTC 2004 -started meb in april 2011 went to whmc in dec2011 ,then went back to va in san antonio in march , was told by my msc that i am in the ides , peblo told me approx 4mths I have 19.5 yrs developed asthma 2005 after coming home . Dont know where to get any answers since I am a stepchild of sorts . Now only contact with peblo since march and he tells me he has new position and hes turning my case over to another peblo , well here i go again , This is like a chinese fire drill ( not that there is anything wrong with the chinese ) any any answers or suggestions would be appreciated .
