Timeline question for already separated soldier

I know that this is the PEB forum, so I thank anyone who can answer my question since I am not going through a PEB.

I was already med boarded and had added a few additional items to my claim during the year following my separation. All together there are 5 additional items.

On Ebenefits, I am now at preparation for decision, with only pending decision approval, preparation for notification and complete left to go.

My question is, does anybody have any kind of idea how long this will take with these circumstances?

I literally just posted a similar question. I added additional claims after being rated and am not sure if I will receive a new rating before my terminal leave ends. eBenefits says pending decision approval for me as well and has requested my DD214. I don't understand why I would have to fax that as it is available on eBenefits already.

Since you are no longer in the IDES, there is no official guideline for the additional claimed items, I have heard stories that it can take up to two years to get them approved, it really depends on the rater and how the stars line up. Typically when you are at preparation for decision, they are in the physical ratings area (somebody should be working on in). You can try calling your VSO and they can look into the system to see if there is anything they can tell you.

You may get the new rating from the PDA once you have been released from active duty, I would fax in the DD-214 too just to be safe, until they receive it from you, they will not start the post discharge claim.

If you do not get the rating for the additional items that you have claimed from the PDA with your IDES claim, you may want to file a NOD as well, and provide the supporting evidence. I's talk to you VSO and get guidance, they are experts on post-discharge claims.
