My PEBLO has all of my paperwork including my NMA. I have my VA appointments next week. She said that she can not mail my package to the IPEB until I have done my VA appointments and she gets the write up back from the VA. Will this be my VA rating? Does anyone know if the VA paperwork goes to the board with my package. If not, why is she waiting to mail it. Also, the power point presentation I have says that the IPEB only takes 15 days. Is this right? Thanks in advance!!!

The VA does the rating for the DoD as well. The VA will not rate you until the IPEB has made a fit or unfit determination. As for the 15 days it usually takes about 2 weeks for the IPEB to decide fit or unfiit but then it needs to be sent to the VA for rating and then back again to the IPEB for them to accept or decline. If they decline it goes back again and so forth. The rating and determinations don't seem to take very long its all of the mailing and waiting your turn to be reviewed. 120 days is the timeline you should expect to wait once your packet is mailed off.
des is right. My MEB went out on 29 November 2011. i still havent heard word. All i know is the Baltimore Office got my case in september 2011. Then on 5 March 2012 the Cleveland Regional Office VA got the package. 12 March 2012 "case closed. Notifciation sent" Not sure where i stand now. I am still awaiting word from my peblo. They say the fit/unfit determination and all the findings come back at once. My meb started 1 september 2011. I have no idea if ive been OFFICIALLY found fit/unfit,, or anything.
My packet was received at the PEB in Texas on 18 Jan 2012. An unfit ruling was decided on 27 Jan 2012, however, I didn't receive that information until yesterday. According to my PEBLO, they forgot to send the results to her, and she had to call to get them.
