Hello all,

I'm currently undergoing a MEB for Bipolar 2, as well as a few other genetic conditions I have.

My last C&P exam will be conducted on March 19th. I had like a month and a half wait between my other exams. I've been trying to expedite this process but it's pretty much hurry up and wait. This forum has helped me understand this process a little better as my PEBLO is really vague.

My main question I suppose is for other service members currently going through this. Realistically when can I expect to begin transition? It's really difficult to plan for a career or school when I have no real timeline. I know each case is different but I'm just wondering what the current tempo is for AFPC and the VA handling these cases. I already have my NARSUM, and my CIS concurring with my separation. My other DBQs are already uploaded on TOL as well.

Good luck to everyone else going through this. It sure is a rollercoaster.

So in my case my file was sitting on the VA for 221 days before force the VA to push my file if you REALLY wanna expedite it do yourself a favor and call VERA they assisted me very very well I literally called them last Friday and I just got my results today + I'm getting my orders tomorrow
 
For me, my “general, head-to-toe” C&P exam took 10 weeks to process results and finalize. The other three exams were finalized next day. My VA MSC released the results to PEBLO the day after my final exam was completed. It took about 10 days for the local board to review my package and for me to sign my 618. Once PEBLO sent up my package, I was found unfit the next day and my package is now waiting on ratings, which is taking most people about 70 days lately for ratings. But according to my PEBLO, if items are missing from your package, they will kick back the package and request corrections to be made, which can also delay the process.

What’s the number for VERA

Yikes! I hope that 10 weeks for the general DBQ isn't standard. That's the last DBQ I need pending my sleep study results later this month.

Yeah I had a sleep study done but im just going to wait until i get out to start that claim for severe insomnia

I was told by my peblo/msc that insomnia falls under the catch all category of mental health. So if you're claiming PTSD or something like that insomnia would simply fall under that and not really add anything extra (other than provide further proof of your MH disability). YMMV

Can you call VERA if you’re in the PEB phase waiting on fit/unfit status? And would they be beneficial at this stage?

You can call VERA now; there’s no harm to it. They most likely won’t give you any different information than those on the VA hotline. Can confirm this as I had a VERA appointment this morning for a status update and she told me the same thing people on the hotline told me. The only nice thing about it is that you don’t have to wait on hold since they call you at your scheduled virtual appointment time. I will schedule with VERA from now on for status updates instead of being on hold with the hotline for 30-45 minutes.

So... called vera on friday. My claim is officially closed on the VA website, currently on hold to have them email me my ratings.

Had a call with Vera this morning they said I’m ready for decision I don’t know what that means but hopefully I’m close to you timeline wise.

thats what the guy at VERA told me on friday. So hopefully, my peblo just told me we should see the concurrence back within the week.. (still on hold with va on the phone...)

oh i will, im still on hold lolllll but, according to my peblo, I should get all documents back this week to sign, and then we discuss my ETS date. So ill have another update probably by friday.
