20 Nov 2020 - PEB will have to be sent back to VA due to ratings not being final as they should be for NG. Three appointments with legal. Lawyer states I have the most screwed up board he has seen. VA ratings are terrible, wrong codes used to rate conditions, conditions rated at 0% even with documents and DBQ's showing impairment rating 60% for one condition and two 20% conditions. Working on VARR for four conditions due to clear and unmistakable errors. Fingers crossed, but I should end up 90% Dod, 100% VA
 
Sorry for the misfortune but glad to hear it's getting sorted and you have legal in your corner pushing this. I didn't know ratings needed to be final for NG. I'm supposed to hear from PEBLO soon so hopefully have the NARSUM. I'm definitely going to look for the legal POC given to me back in March and see if I can't run things by them first just to be safe. At this rate we should be done around the same time, whenever that may be.
 
It seems a technicality not sure it has any impact to me really. But since my DD214 is there and I am not AGR or active, there is no reason to propose ratings. Legal said it will not change anything but the date on my 199 since the PEB has to send it back to VA for rating again.

I had most of my research done for the VARR since I already knew my ratings were messed up from the codes used on the 199 and my ratings percentage. I should be able to get this done without requesting an extension. Just unbelievable that so many people to include medical professionals looked at my stuff and completely overlooked obvious errors. Oh, well....maybe this will mean it will not be done until after the new year pay raise! That should add about $150 to my monthly payment....have to hunt the good!

Congrats! Where do the retirement orders come from? Clearing shouldn't be terribly difficult being it's the guard. fingers crossed!
 
Mine were sent to me by the PEBLO from United States Army Physical Disability Agency. I am completely cleared from my unit and placed in a Medical Transition Unit, so the only clearing I have left to do is the retirement out briefing.
 
Still no word on my VA ratings. Seems odd this close to the end and being NG.
 
Yeah I'm surprised given the VA seems to move quicker than the DoD side. I received my updated VA ratings in early December. Finally got my appointment with legal completed. Next stop is PEB. Curious if there is back pay from the VA and when that will come. Talk about a slow and painful process.
 
I can only assume, based on what my case manager told me, that there will be back pay to the date of the claim for those of us that were "veterans" and had dd214's at the time of IDES. Let's hope! That should be about 20+ grand for me!
