Tripler MEB Timeline 2025

Just started the MEB prosses for my lower back. Wanted to post updates to hopefully let others see how long the prosses is and what to expect.


4 JUN: PCM sent up packet to initiate MEB.

23 JUN: Permanent profile got approved.

25 JUN: Initial PEBLO contact.

-Side note about this: I called the front desk to see why I had not been contacted yet (It had been 3 weeks). The person at the front desk got my contact info and gave it to a PEBLO to call me back and see if there was an issue. No issue, they are just back logged. It paid off though because I was able to schedule my initial brief and start email traffic.​

30 JUN: Initial DES MEB brief.

I'll update as I move along.

My MSC went on leave this week and didn’t pass along all the paperwork. Had to resubmit a form to whoever was filling in for him. I got an email yesterday from the VA that stated my file was in the system and that Optum Serve will call me in a day or 2.

Was is Kristina Gomez? My buddy has her and couldn't get a hold of her yesterday. I didn't have Optum serve I had QTC, up to you but I requested a female doctor but just remember if you just so happen to get Robert Sussman somehow, reschedule with someone else. He works for QTC so not sure if optum serve is similar or not. Good luck man.

Yes... Hopefully they can speed up the process. If not I might take leave for a day or 2 and get in appointment in WA.

Ya I ended up having to go to Boston and made an appointment while I was there. It sped up the process by probably 4 months by me doing that.

Currently waiting for everything to get processed by Optum Serve and the VA. Made a lot of phone calls today to see what the process is like and to my understanding it goes as follows:

1. Finish C&P.
2. Optum Serve Processes, writes notes and gathers evidence and sends it to the VA for ratings.
3. VA makes determination on conditions fit and unfit and sends back to PEBLO.

I called Optum Serve and the VA requested some clarification on one of my conditions from the Physician that did the exams. Tomorrow everything should be with the VA and they will start going thorough it.
