unfit/fit notification

So I'm here in Germany and my packet is currently in the Ipeb stage. Ebenefits states "pending decision approval" estimate complete time 2/13/2017-5/10/2017. No second claims opened. My question is "how do you know if your found fit or unfit?. My PEBLO says that there's no official notification of fitness determination and if I dont hear from him then I'm unfit. But if I do hear from him, that would be him telling me I'm FIT. Is this true or is my PEBLO just being lazy. Thanks

call the VA (800-827-1000) and ask a customer service rep to look through your VA records. Ask if they see any paperwork from your IPEB package. If they say yes, you're unfit because the IPEB only sends your IPEB package to the VA for ratings when you're found unfit.
 
@lila69 I'm there with you. My ebenefits jumped from preparation for decision to pending decision approval in the last 2 days. But I don't have a historical claim. I also called the VA and (Well maybe I didn't ask the right question now that I'm thinking about it) but the rep said she could only tell that they were preparing my ratings and it would be sent out soon. She couldn't tell if I was fit or unfit. But that doesn't make sense to me to prepare ratings if I'm not found unfit. I am going to call them again tomorrow and ask specifically for the IPEB paperwork.

I called the VA and she wouldnt tell me anything, when I asked her about IPEB paperwork, she just repeated "we are currently working on your claim, you will get notification by mail" she sounded like a robot
 
@lila69 exactly.. Its like trying to pull teeth.. I may be one of the few who don't want to be found unfit. I have 18 years on so I am not trying to lose all that Ive worked for! lol.. I just want to know something sooner than later.

From my understanding if they are doing rating for you that means they found you unfit. It goes to the IPEB before va ratings if you are army and they decide if you are fit or unfit then goes to VA.

you are correct, I reached out to my MCS and emailed me back stating :
"The VA received your MEB package from the PEB, which means they had to find you unfit already."
 
Well @lila69 I just found out from the VA rep that IDES sent my paperwork back to them with an unfit, so that's why they are moving along with everything...,
 
So devastated right now. Going to have to plead my case to the Formal board.:(
 
Yea i havent gotten the official word because the VA is in the process of sending my ratings back to IDES so they can notify me.. I'm not going down without a fight! 18 yrs... no way I'm letting it go down like that

You're peblo can look it up. Mine did
 
I just spoke to the VA and they said they have my C&P exams and service training record. Does this mean I've been found unfit?

I just called the PEB and they said they haven't even received my package yet. I was told by my PEBLO that it was submitted Jan 9th. This is starting to become very confusing.

Ok VA having your medical record after your C & P is different from VA receiving request from PEB for ratings. If VA said they have not received anything from the PEB, it means PEB has not made the fit/unfit determination yet.

Sounds like you have a lot of fight in you. Keep trying to get what you want. Good luck.
