ALCON,

I received my findings on 22Jan2020. The timeline is as follows:

23JAN20 -FINDINGS AND RECEIPT SIGNED/SUBMITTED TO PEBLO
22JAN20 -FINDINGS RECEIVED FROM PEBLO
02DEC1 -PEB RECEIVES RATINGS FROM VA
12NOV19 -PACKAGE RECEIVED BY VA
16SEP19 -PACKAGE SUBMITTED TO PEB
08AUG19 -C&P EXAMS COMPLETE
30APR19 -NARSUM COMPLETE
17APR19 -INITIAL PEBLO INTAKE

There was a massive delay in scheduling my C&P exams due to the MSC going rogue otherwise my timeline would be pretty fast comparatively. However, it's finally close to the end. I was rated 20%DOD and 100% P&T VA. I plan to take the severance pay to stabilize my family while I'm going to school. I understand that the repayment possibility is there, but I plan to fight the combat-related(ness?) of my unfitting 20% condition in an effort to avoid recoupment by the VA by sending some supporting evidence and a letter to OJAG Code 13. P&T gives me a modicum of insurance through CHAMPVA which was my largest concern with a special needs kiddo. I'm HOPING to get out of the Navy as fast as humanly possible, but I understand it may be March before I separate. I put in a month of leave to have a semblance of a terminal, but if I can leave earlier I'll sell back whatever I don't utilize (though I'm loathe to receive base pay only) and get the hell out of dodge.

This is fairly important and may or not be Navy-specific. Once you have been found unfit (in essence once it goes to the VA for ratings) you ARE ELIGIBLE to apply for VocRehab. I thought you had to wait until you were separated, but luckily I kicked over the right rock while looking through reference materials. I applied on ebenefits, was scheduled within a week, and approved within 3 weeks. I AM CURRENTLY USING VOC REHAB FOR TUITION ONLY WHILE STILL ACTIVE. It's a solid resource, so do your own recon.

Best of luck,
Jake
