I have been dealing with the VA since 2015. Fortunately, I also have Medicare and TFL. My experience with VA providers has been great. My issues are with access and community care.
Example 1
I called the VA eye clinic and told them, I had an urgent issue. They said they would call me back. Hasn't happened. Fortunately, one of my neighbors is an optometrist and the event was covered by Medicate/TFL (these insurances do not cover refraction). The optometrist told me he only charges $25 for refraction (glasses Rx) the rest is billed as other eye care and covered. Since I did not get refraction my bill was paid in full.
Example 2
The VA dental clinic sent me to community care. The community care place is GREAT. But getting recurring approval from the VA is a royal pain.
Has anyone broke the code on VA access or Community Care?
