Indeed, as I shall now receive DoVA disability compensation benefits 30 calendar days after the official start of my military disability retirement!

Hmm, that shall definitely occur within 4 to 9 months after the official start of my military disability retirement; no doubt for sure! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

I filed on February 4th, since the Coast Guard still uses the Legacy PDES vice the IDES, as a BDD claim. Somehow, they accepted it as a traditional claim and sent it to the Houston RO. I noticed and sent an IRIS inquiry and got the response back two weeks after I submitted. It said that they would ATTEMPT to convert my claim to a BDD or Quick Start claim and then had a bunch of information on the Houston RO, including that there is currently a 14-15 month backlog for new claims submitted to the Houston RO.

I have noticed they have hidden it once again. I have a 5 year old appeal I can't get completed, even tho they have 2 LOD's attached to them. I can't get anyone to talk to me about them to find out what the hold up is.
