VA delay in submitting proposed ratings

Just received new c&p appointment MSC said all Musculoskeletal Claims have to be redone since the lawsuit Collin v. Ingram . Va has paused ratings on my claim until new c&p

Sounds about right. I just had mine done on the 24th. Was there for about 10 mins. A week later my VA app says they made a decision so now I am just waiting on DA199. Hopefully yours goes fast and you get word quick!

I got a call yesterday about my appointments. I had to answer a few questions and that was it. I wasn't asked to came back in person. I was also informed that the VA should have my claims back to rate them in 7-10 days

I have heard a lot about Musculoskeletal Claims having to be redone since the Collin v. Ingram decision.

I am at the VARR stage. Submitted VARR back on 03OCT and still awaiting results. Figure it might be a minute with the shutdown.
But, I am still in the process and have a lot of musculoskeletal claims/issues in my Proposed VA Ratings.
Does this mean I will be contacted by the VA about having those exams redone? Will it delay the process even more?

It will definitely delay the process a little. A lot of service members in this thread have been waiting since June/July time frame to hear back from the VA. There is a massive backlog and the new policy is going to change things and prolong the process even more. My claim has been with the VA since 23 June.

My claim is as with the Va starting sept and i have my proposed rating as of oct 17. I wasnt told to redo mine but I also am at 100% so not sure if that makes a difference.

Maybe because you had your claim initiated in September you were kind of grandfathered in or front loaded for the Ingram law? I think everything is kind of up in the air for everyone. I got my proposed ratings from the VA yesterday and now I am just waiting on my DOD ratings so hopefully that comes fast. I was found unfit and proposed ratings of 50 DOD and I was already 90 VA before this process.

Is anyone still waiting for DOD ratings after Va ratings? Got my Va proposed ratings oct 14 and haven’t heard anything since.

I just hit TRANSPROC today, orders should be out hopefully within the next 2 weeks or so.
How long was the turnaround from seeing step 5/5 on the app and your PEBLO receiving your packet? And are orders being affected by the shutdown?

I signed my NARSUM on Sept. 30 and was found unfit on Oct. 6th. My case was then closed on the VA side on the 8th and has been there ever since. I never got a call back for another C&P exam and I called the VA and they said the case is no longer with them. I have no idea where my stuff is now. Does anyone have any insight on where it could be? From my understanding it's been done with the VA for at least a week now and likely quite a bit longer, but my PEBLO hasn't responded to my emails so I don't believe it's with her.

Its most likely back at the IPEB and is waiting on them to attach the ratings. The shutdown has mostly all of the PEBS furloughed so it will be after the shutdown you hear anything.

My VA side closed before I went to the IPEB, and I called the VA number about 3 times until i got someone willing to send my Benefits estimate letter. They arent supoosed to send it to you while in IDES, but you can call and say something along the lines of “hey my claim is closed and its not letting me download it from the app, can you email it to me”. You will get someone who sends it.

I did actually get someone to send me my estimate. I just know a lot of people get stuck on this part for months for what seems no reason. Were you on any medication at the time of your musculoskeletal exams? Those are the people I believe they said they were going to call back
