VA delay in submitting proposed ratings

it’s been a whole journey of patience, let me post my timeline here.

March 28- referral to ides
April 8- ides briefing
April 29- all C&P completed, 35 claims + additional 3 claims submitted after C&P
May 12- Narsum received
May 16- IMR requested
May 21- Narsum signed
June 9- found unfit, and case sent to VA for ratings
July 17- New C&P requested and completed
Oct 3- VA submitted ratings after several calls and priority process requests submitted
Oct 17- Received and signed DA 199, 60% DoD & 100% P&T VA
Oct 23- Transproc hit, no orders generated due to shutdown
Nov- 13 Retirement Orders received
Dec- 11 retirement ceremony
Dec- 12 trans leave starts
Jan- 30 Official Retirement date.
 
After dealing with the new C&P exam policy, my VA.gov profile finally updated and now shows that my claim closed 13 NOV. I hope to hear something soon. My packet has been with the VA since 23 June
 
I have done my best to be patient and based on some other individuals timelines (and the shutdown), I feel like I am right on track.

21 AUG - P3 signed / enrolled in IDES (I have been on temp or permanent profile since Jan 2019)
28 AUG - First Contact with PEBLO
28 AUG - 1st appointment with PEBLO
28 AUG - 1st contact and appointment with VA MSC
4 SEP - 1st C&P exam
18 SEP – First conversation with OSC attorney
24 SEP - Last C&P exam

I do not know if this is the proper forum, but does anyone know how the high-3 base pay % is calculated for the DoD payment? Is it calculated at the time of entry in the IDES? Or is it calculated at the time you final out/retire?

Did you receive and sign the DA199 yet? My claim just closed today(NOV 17), and I’m not sure how long the DA199 will take?

I haven't received my DA199 yet. We will have to wait until the PEB makes a decision. My proposed ratings were sent to the PEB 14 NOV
 
i know my va proposed rating because the Va emailed me a copy. But I don’t knew anything about my dod rating. Peblo always says there’s no news. He never even told me he had my va ratings.

I called the VA and they informed me that they cannot give me my proposed ratings.

I had to call 3 different times until I got a person who would send it to me. You just got to keep trying until they send it to you. Be a karen lol

Yup, it took me about 3 tries to get it. I worded it like this, I have a decision letter sent to be but its not letting me download it in the app. Can u email it to me?
 
I’m also step 5 completed and decision letter ready on VA app. I called VA and they said there is no decision letter. They sent my ratings PEB and once PEB send it back with DOD rating I will be able to know what my VA rating is.
I’m guessing they just don’t want to tell me my VA ratings yet?

Kind of, its true u dont have a decision letter until after you separate, but u have a proposed one ( benefits estimate letter). And yes apparently on their system it tells them you are in the IDES and to not send you the letter bc it isnt finalized. They just send release it to the PEB and MSC. If u keep calling (esp right before they close) you will get connected to someone who doesnt care or doesnt read it through and will send it.
 
@justin101 read here, also search forum for “1-800” or “Call va”, something along the lines of that,

Mine (VA) closed 17 Oct, i wasnt sent to ipeb until 22nd. They didnt open my case at the IPEB until 14 Nov. someone else in here got their myfss email on 14Oct, and just got their ipeb results today. It looks like ur still going to be a little behind.

How do you know or verify when your case was sent to IPEB and open by them? Please and thank you!

You should get a myFSS email. (USAF). If not, my peblo also contacted me that same day and told me the IPEB finally opened the case (when the shutdown ended). They have access to see if its being worked.
