VA delay in submitting proposed ratings

Update. Kinda. Proposed ratings were sent to PEB 13 Nov. Haven't heard anything since. I've been waiting to hear from my PEBLO. But no DA199
Gotta get on it. Call/email your PEBLO. Mine was sitting there waiting for one signature since October 30th. Bugged my PEBLO, he then bugged them and got the signature, got my DA199 assigned turned in and added to the TRANSPROC list the same day.

I've emailed him and called him multiple times. He keeps saying that we are at the mercy of the PEB and there is nothing he can do.

Would you recommend contacting the PEBLO for the NARSUM as well? I finished up my appts in Sept and have not received any contact from him since. I did not know if I should contact him or just continue waiting.

You might want to consider calling other PEBLOs or even the supervisor. My PEBLO was unreacheable so I called others and the supervisor and got my DA199 with a week and a half. Now just waiting to speak with my lawyer and make sure I won't have any other hiccups before I sign it and that should be it. Got 50% DOD and on PDRL and I will be 100 P&T VA after they finish their portion! Gotta fight till the end and don't give up!

I may need to try this. I email my PEBLO weekly, and he seems irritated with short responses such as "no updates, have a good day"

Yea, I hate to see it but we as military sometimes take the "hurry up and wait" thing too much to heart on some things. I am guilty of it myself for sure. This is one of those times you have to put your foot in front of the other and push through cause there doesn't seem to be much of a push or care until you poke the right bear!

I agree that it is one foot in front of the other. But it gets really discouraging when I started my process in April and another Soldier in my unit started his in September and hes already gotten is DA199 and I'm still in limbo

I just signed my DA Form 199 yesterday (12 December), and I wanted to ask what the next steps are. When should I expect to receive my separation orders? Also, am I able to request or coordinate my final out date, and is PTDY authorized during this process?

Yea, for sure I can definitely see that. Maybe it all depends on how many things were claimed? I know the new Ingram law and the shutdown slowed things down a lot too..

I also signed my DA199 on the 12th of December and I just got my retirement date on Friday the 19th of December. I am also in the National Guard so I don't know if things are different than active?

Still no updates. The PEB has had my proposed ratings since 13 NOV. PEBLO tells me there's nothing he can do. Any thoughts?

Do you happen to know who's handling your case? Like for me my case was handled by FT. Sam because I am in the guard now but transitioned off active duty in 2020 and had to fight to prove my injury was caused in service...

Ft. Leonard Wood.

food for thought. My PEBLO has been great about responding, but she did inform me that her regional office went from 8 peblos to 3. In part due to the reduction in federal workers via the buy out and in part due to turnover. So she went from handling a few dozen soldiers' cases at a time to over 200. She politely asked that I email her for updates no more than once a month, which I've obliged and when I do, I get an email response within 24 hours. So I can't complain much

After I signed my updated 3947 and returned it to the PEBLO, he said the ratings should about 60 days (I am being processed through Virginia, active duty, officer)
