Greetings, Reserve question, long story short, If you have a recent rating of 100 P&T and you are referred to MEB/PEB will you have to go through a VA C&P exam again while the DOD is evaluating your determination or will they use your current VA records and percentage for a DOD evaluation.

I recently went through the same situation and my referred conditions that I had a rating for were reevaluated by the QTC doctors.

It will probably be reevaluated if the rating is over a year old and if new conditions are rated.

Standard answer is 1 year. However there is a VA policy to allow you to keep your VA ratings protected despite going through IDES and getting a new c&p exam. There is another to reuse your previous exams for your IDES case. I just did this sucessfully, although i received a lot of pushback from the VA MSC until he asked the VA Q&A team. They bless off on it.

Second thing, make sure you've been seeking treatment recently for your referred conditions. This helps you get a good outcome.
