I had all of my C&P exams over the summer, I was found unfit by the IPEB and my case went to the VA for ratings. They requested a medical opinion for a line of duty determination for three of my referred conditions and it came back in my favor. I received my preliminary ratings and IPEB findings, I concurred with the IPEB findings and three days later 6 DBQ’s requesting line of duty determinations for the same three referred conditions came back, not in my favor? They requested a medical opinion less than a month after the first medical opinion came back in my favor?
My PEBLO said it wouldn’t affect the IPEB results. I asked my MSC what the deal was and he said the additional opinions would be used when determining the final ratings? I asked if was typical for the VA to keep asking the question till they get the answer they want, still waiting on the answer.
