Does anyone know how much VA considers the type of provider taking your ROM measurements for recon purposes? What I mean is the type of doctor, today I met with an orthopedic surgeon and found out ill need a third back surgery. The orthopedic doc did a ROM on me but didn't use a goinometer but said the measurements will b in his notes, specifically 15 deg forward flexion. I'm thinking about going to a Chiropractor / nurse practitioner in town to have another ROM done with a goinometer with all the specifics VA said was missing in my recon. My concern is they may blow off the chiropractor / nurse practitioner ROM numbers.

They will do a C/P exam, if you have all ready done a c/p exam with ROM measurments and these numbers are newer, and its stated there has been a decrease in your condition, then they may/may not use them- anythign from a chiropractor gets thrown out/carries a lot less weight.
