i was just told the VA had rated my case and that it was sent back to PEB, i just wanted to know if someone could give me an idea of how long it will take them to contact me with my finding if they agree with the VA's rating, thanks.

It depends, each case is different. For me it might take 4-5 months to get an answer. I wish there was an easy answer. Your peblo has a way to track it as well.

depends if your on the IDES (shorter time) or the Legacy (very lond time) MEB system... and yes it varies, there is no set timeline since every case is different

true but if the va had rated his case (ides) then that means he's been found unfit. The va rates the case and sends to peb. Then peb sends to base. Why would that take 4-5 months

it shouldn't be that long I have seen from 14 days up to 60 some-odd days on the new system... according to my sheet for the timeline expected they say around 30 days...

Its a broke system that's for sure. The Baltimore va sent my packet to Cleveland va after the peb forwarded my case for eating on feb 8. Peb got it dec 8 them forwarded it to Baltimore. Cleveland va finished the rating on 12 march and I still haven't heard work. April 8 is the 120 day mark. Hoping to hear soon

From what i have seen on different post it seems timelines are different. If the peb rejects the va proposed ratings they send it back to the VA, from what i understand that might be why yours is taking so long. also, it would depend on which va office is processing it and their backlog of cases.

yes that may be the case, backlog of cases is correct, i read the article that someone posted on the forum earlier this week about how the military is reducing forces but overlooked the ones in the PEB process, they have now recognized the issue and looking to increase the peblo staff and PEB staff. Hopefully soon, things will move faster.

My peblo told me a case he sent months ago still hasnt come back even one from august last year. He mention if physce is involved, it can take longer too because of the complexity of the case. I wish there was a set answer but does not seem like it, i assume if only one or two complications then it would go faster. but if your like me with 17 years of service, there will be more than just two but only afew failing conditions.

How long did it take for the VA to do your rating???

my PEB stuff was sent out OCT 2011, i just got my stuff back to me last week. Took exactly 5 months from the time we mailed everything off till i recieved it back. Im in the Navy also. And dont trust Ebenefits that website is shit, it still says im "Pending Decision Approval" lol

if peb agrees with the va you should hear from them soon, try calling the dc medboards and ask them about the status on your case 202-685-6419

my board isn't in DC it's at the ipeb at Randolph. Or does everything go through dc as well? I'm paranoid cuz a marine buddy of mine (I'm Af) said his took 14 months.

not sure man try to get the number for Randolph and if not call DC it cant hurt anything and if they cant give you any information maybe they can point you in the right direction.
