signed mine on the 2nd and sent it in. 2 weeks to the day, still waiting. From what i can tell, its taking 3-4 weeks to hear back and get your checkout started. However, its the holidays so seems to put everything to a screeching halt and slow everything down.
Hopefully the holidays only slow down this process by a couple days I signed my 199 exactly one week ago so literally any day I could get called to pick a day which I can't wait because I'm trying to be out of army 29-30 Jan. All I'm getting for leave is 20 days ptdy seeing as how I only have a couple days saved up. I've cleared everything I could up to now..(cif, acap)
You do not get to pick your date once it hits transpoc they calculate the 20 days ptdy then what leave you have and if will determine your retirement date that is what retirement service did for me I signed out on ptdy this past saturday
Make sure you stay on top of your PEBLO, They can find your date as well. I have seen a lot of people get their date like 10 days before and that's not how it is supposed to happen.
Keep an eye out for message traffic (well if your navy), your command will be notified to discharge you and 10 days from that psd will be cutting you orders, some time in that 10 days they will work with you on picking a date.
