Hello, just wanted to preface this by saying thank you in advance to anyone who can offer some help or guidance.

Current situation: Active Army Medic, with Wife and two kids. 5 YRS TIS, ETS DATE 03JUN2023

Been seeing BH since March of this year. Diagnosed for Adjustment Disorder Chronic, ADHD, Insomnia due to medical condition.

**Side note: BH symptoms started August 2021, PCM did not believe me and thought I was just trying to get out of my third deployment. PA overstepped with trying to screw me over. Contacted ombudsman, ombudsman contacted CSM, BDE Surgeon and asked my BH doctors why they have not initiated a meddled yet. After that, my psychiatrist started to pursue medboarding me.**

I have been on over 5 separate medications, and been actively seeing behavioral health since March. My BH provider did not agree with medboarding me, however the psychiatrist who handles my medications (and is the chief of the clinic) agreed with me and went to go initiate a MEB about a month ago. The next day she informed me that she thought I had done three trials of treatment, but the medication and therapy only count as two. (I’ve never been hospitalized either) So, she had me attend the 6 week IOP program. IOP is coming to an end, the providers I work with there think I should get medboarded and fight for it.

Relating to the side note above, at a point in this, my PA attempted to have me administrately separated from the Army, which did not stick, and was immediately shut down by my CoC. During the panic of getting kicked out, I started applying to every job I could for the career I always planned on pursuing. Turns out I got a conditional offer from the main department I wanted to work for when I got out, an amazing job. Here’s the kicker, I need to be able to attend their orientation and academy by the end of JAN, or I will be deferred, likely forcing me to take a different job when I get out.

Where I stand now.. I graduate IOP on NOV 4. If a MEB was initiated immediately after, I could choose the LDES route and it would be likely that I could attend the three week orientation at the end of January. My BH providers give me zero confidence that they would be able to make this happen in time, not to mention saying “medboard me right now so I can go work my dream job” will not sit well with the Army. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist in two days where I’ll talk to her about it. My other idea is to have my commander initiate a fit for duty exam. My command has always seen me as a great soldier, no negative counseling’s, excelled in my job, got my EFMB.

Does anyone have any insight on how I should choose to go about this? Will a fit for duty still give me the option to meb? Is it best to wait until IOP is finished and re engage with my provider? Is there no way I’ll be out and able to work a new job 90 days after?

I’ll edit if I get any more information or remember the rest of my questions.

Thanks again.
