Don't get me wrong, I am happy for you, I really am, but this uhm stuff is getting old lol. Mine was up in sep. after a very very long delayed process. owell, still getting full pay and bennie's I guess.
Sorry to hear that. I honestly think that they must do it by how many conditions you have because mine had only like 7 conditions only one being from the air force which was just migraines. But yours should be coming up here soon then since my unfit memo was in october. And yes this system does get very very old. I think it would just be easier if they would allow us to fly to prividence or take a tdy there and give us a week to get this all handled. I would honestly rather paid to fly there then to wait. I was just happy though mine when through the VA as quick as it did comparitively. My long process was the beginning since they MEB me at the wrong base lol. But I was gathering of evidence since like May which didn't even change until like septemberish. But hang in there Buddy!!! Yours should be next!!
My unfit memo was July 25th and still no news. I started in Seattle and then at 135 days was moved to Providence, now I am waiting again. The good news is that I am getting paid and I try and remember that often when dealing with this. I just don't like feeling that I have no control of what is happening to me. Here is hoping for the best!
Well some good news for me today, at least I think, my VA rep told me that my case is now actually in the VA rating officers hands and it should be a matter of days until my rating comes back. Again my claim was went to providence on Oct 8 so I'll keep you guys informed of when it actually comes back for an accurate time line

Here Here!! That's great news because the rating phase is a bit faster than the rest. And today I also got an update. MY PROPOSED RATINGS ARE FINALLY DONE!!!

No the VA of course just said they sent it to the peblo and I'm assuming electronically. I've noticed though usually once they're done writing up the letter, which mine is, it takes the IPEB ten 10 days to get back to you. So I'm shooting for the 28th of December...hopefully.

Day 124. Ebenefits changed to Preparation For Decision about an hour or so ago. So might hear something back next week hopefully. I'll update the timeline in the first post when I can.
I just wanted to say that I really hope we all receive news soon and it appears that Providence is sending out packets with decisions lately. I've noticed a couple of us have been given information or our ebenefits status' has changed. I just checked my ebenefits today and I do not put a lot of weight to what this tool says but today is the first time that I have seen any movement on my account. The VA closed out one claim today with a status of COMPLETE, decision notification was sent via standard mail. Then another one opened up with the date they received notice from AFPC to rate my case which was 11/12/13 and this status is Preparation For Decision. I will keep everyone updated.
Congrats to all who have been seeing progress on their cases and I sure hope the other members cases are picked up in the speed. Happy Holidays to All!
Quick question, my NARSUM was sent to AFPC(Air Force) on December 3rd, but ebenefits says under claim status that the date received is November 18th which was a day after my C&P. So I'm confused as to which date I should be using, my assumption is that after my NARSUM was written and sent to AFPC that it was then determined that I was unfit and it was forwarded to the VA for ratings. If this is the case how do I find out what day the VA received it, ebenefits still says gathering? Thanks
you should use neither date to be honest. The VA officially started your "claim" in order to schedule the c/p exams, this is typical. The "120 days" is supposed to start on the day your file went to afpc, however and this is the biggie, that is counting on AFPC to only take 3-4 days to determine fitness, in recent months it seems that it has been closer to 4-5 weeks or more, and with the holidays who knows.
Now the "120" days average turnaround for providence does not start until they receive a unfit determination from AFPC.
Your NARSUM and C/P exams/all records go to afpc for a fitness determination. you do not find out what day VA received your records, but you can ask your peblo if you have been found unfit yet, and on what day, the day following that is what most people use to start their clocks, but it is all a guessing game.
for instance, my stuff all went to afpc 15 july 2013, i was not found unfit until 18 september.
Thanks for the insight Twitch, I was curious because I'm having surgery January 7th and my 120 target will be up around the end of my convalescent leave. Thanks to your input on another thread I was able to get surgery while under MEB/PEB.

Happy to help, and I hope the scheduled surgery goes well. I only wish this process was not so long that one could get diagnosed a new condition, attend therapy, get surgery, convalesce, and be partially healed before the process is up.
I jokingly say i think the VA and SSDI judges are in a contest to see who can actually "work" while still not making any progress.
After 143 days at VA my case has moved to PENDING DECISION APPROVAL. I hope I'm on transition leave by February. I started everything January of this year so it has taken a year for everything to process so far.
Yeah it takes forever but mine never changed until Friday and it went from Preparation for Decision to Pending Decision Approval over the weekend. I wish you the best of luck.
grats mel, hopefully the long road is over and everything is right the first go round.
I got a small albeit bad update today, my package has had zero movement since being received by the VA on 18 Sep. The guy on the phone told my peblo (my peblo actually called not me) that my package should of been assigned a rater, but that the system just must not be reflecting it.
I can understand the external (ebenefits) system not being integrated/working at all etc., but for them to say to a PEBLO and/or the MSC that their internal system is just as fubarred really confuses the heck out of me at this time in our world. I can go and buy a refrigerator that can tell me when I'm low on items, or can order a box from a sweat shop in rural china and have 100% oversight from the day it leaves that little village until its in my hands, but and organization that just spent billions on infrastructure upgrades cannot accurately track a digital file? really? i mean really?
