Not too sure about Joecools Case frank4747, but i called the Civilian. They are Called Medical board counselors, and they have the ability to look it up. Thats who i called and they gave me the hook up. Today i got a message on MOL that said my medical board was excepted by the PEB. Has anyone got that message? and what does it mean if you have. Thanks
I received the message "Your medical board has been referred to the PEB for action" when I initially turned in my paperwork to admin at the early stages. I'm not sure if this is the same message, are you in the PEB stage or MEB stage? This may be the generic message given by MOL to let you know the process has started.
@tdtonjes, who / what was the number that you called to look up your case? I called my PEBLO and he simply said "nope, no word yet, be patient.. Look at it this way, extra paycheck".. 0_o I never received a MOL generated email, my PEBLO told me when I called on an unrelated question. I was found unfit on Aug 27th so we are pretty close. Do you guys think that with the new push for the old cases that our cases time line will be affected? I was told about 4-6 weeks so that would put my results back between Oct 1-15th and thats counting from when the VA recieved my packaged and not when I signed and sent to the PEB initally. So technically its way over that time line. Anywho. I'm expecting a call any day now.
Im out of balboa hospital (I'm Navy) and my package was sent to the PEB board on 22 AUG 2013 and was found unfit and my package was sent and recieved to VA RI on 29 AUG 2013 and have been waiting since. i found out my unfitness by just asking the PEBLO and he looked me up and told me.
It must be a good feeling. My package was sent to the AF PEB on 28 Mar 13 and I was found unfit 119 days later and then 6 weeks after that it was sent to the VA because someone forgot to do when I was found unfit. They did however mark their stupid spreadsheet that the unfit memo was sent to the VA even though it wasn't. I got a verbal confirmation that the VA had my package on 10 Sep 13 and was told 4-6 weeks for my proposed/intial rating which will now likely be longer if the goverment shuts down. Even if the VA isn't affected by the shutdown then it is likely that the Civilian Case Managers at the PEB's will be furloughed in the even of a shutdown so after all of the waiting the only thing I am sure of is I will be waiting even longer. I am happy for your that your case has moved a such a good pace and hope that it continues to.
what is the name of the person who sent your paper work up? The lady who helped me was named Christina she is a med board counselor. I have never called anyone to look up my case. I dont even know if my stuff reached the VA i dont have that number. My MOL now says Y PEB accepted. My stuff probably just hasnt been updated in MOL until now. I am right there with you on the 4-6 weeks I am entering my 6th week since found unfit. So i have no clue what is up. I am also hoping for a phone call. I am not sure about the Old cases, I feel that the system wants to push through what it has when it has it. At least that is my hopes. I will continue to push information as I get it. I am in New Jersey at McGuire (yes the Airforce base) but our LIMDU coordinator is out of Lakehurst. So its a civilian that is my PEBLO over there. His name is Jason Peterson. I'm going to try to call the VA and see if I can get one of those "nice" reps that might incenuate something about whats going on with this thing. I want to be out and done with terminal by the end of the year so if I get a severance I can get that money back at the beginning of next year through my taxes. SMH..
Ok Gents, here is what I did. I called the VA's 1800 # and was put on hold and given the option of them calling me back, which I did. They called me back in the alloted amount of time. I inquired about VocRehab because since we are still active duty we can get a "memorandum rating" so we can go ahead and apply for services before discharge. She took my info and said I should receive this letter within 10 days and if I dont to call back and use the reference # she provided me. So I'm only assuming that SOMETHING is in there because she was really "textbook" in her answers and she wouldnt say specifically. I will see what this paper will say and I will keep you updated on this. I guess I was trying to back door the system and it SLAMMED in my face. hahahah Anywho.. Stay up!

My Peblos told me today that some of the civ peb and VA workers were affected by the furloughs but I also heard that they weren't. *toss hands**Shurgs* My stuff looks like there will NEVER be any movement. My case was in review of Informal Board as of 9/30, hope to get news soon.

Thanks man, I just spoke with the LCpl. He basically said the same as you, but he went and looked at the packages to look at dates. He said he has been seeing a lot of them from August as of lately, but these ones were from April. Good for the April folks. I guess we are all still on stand by. He mentioned that packages are trickling in a little slower, and some of the Lawyers have been furloughed so the process will be slowed down a little, but the process is going to continue (which is good) slow sucks but that means there is still hope. I appreciate the help on your end. We obviously didnt get the answers we want, but for some reason, any little bit of information seems to chill out the anxiety.
