Wait Time For Providence, RI

I finally got my orders on Friday, but since it took AFPC soooo long to fill out a piece of paper they ended up pushing my retirement out a month so my official retirement date is 27 November. I also have 97 days of leave and 30 days of permissive TDY from my Commander so my final out will be 23 July. I'm glad I finally don't have to wait on others that couldn't care less if they accomplished tasks within their allocated time constraints. I also got a call back from social security on Friday, they said my package is on it's last stop it's with the Dr. so I should have some resolution there sometime soon. Good luck to everyone else.

I'm being told that IPAC only does final audits on Tuesdays and that I must wait 10 business days from that Tuesday to go on terminal. Is this true? Just wanted to confirm as I've been lied to more than once by an IPAC Marine.

On the upside, My EAS Posted for July 30th, but it looks like I'll be selling some leave.

I also signed mine today, final out June 16th/17th and my retirement date is October 29th. One thing I didn't know, I thought you had 30 days to outprocess from when you get your orders. At least at my base it's 30 days from when you sign for your ratings. I might not even have orders for another 2 weeks.

Indeed, congratulations and enjoy your forthcoming military disabiity retirement; you have earned it! :D

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Well, well indeed; the ball is rolling much faster now! ;)

That said; again, enjoy your forthcoming well-deserved military disability retirement. Take care! :D

That's a lot of leave! Does anyone know how term/perm leave is handled for reservists? I've been told that reservists don't get to take their leave/must sell it back. The problem is I will have more leave built up than I am allowed to sell (I.e. 60 days, ect) I have a strong feeling I'm going to lose out on a hefty chunk of leave.

I EASed a July 30 after being med discharged. That process alone was enough. I log into ebenefits today to see my claim for my med board closed and a new one opened stating "Contentions: IDES (New)" where my condition were. Prep for Decision...AGAIN....Is the a normal part of the process?

Indeed, yes; no worries as this is a standard DoVA process since you have now achieved military veteran status. Take care!

So....EAS was July 30, no status update on eBenefits. I did receive my severance pay, but I haven't received my DVA Letter in the mail yet to certify my % so I can apply for my refund. I called the rep that I submitted my DD-214 to back in June and she stated that she sent it/notified them on the 26th of June. All of a sudden the 30 day until payment thing turns into 60-90? Is she blowing smoke? Is there a way to speed up the process and get my dang letter? Called the hotline as well and they said that my DD-214 isn't in the system, but it says that they aren't missing anything...basically they didn't know what the heck was going on.

Any advise/assistance? I'm going nuts here, I just want to submit for my refund and make sure that I will be able to take care of my family.

So when this happens, what are we looking at in regards to the process? This happened to me today after I filed an inquiry the other day since my EAS was 30 July and it hadn't moved. Now all of a sudden this happens but no one can give me an answer?

When it happened to me my claim was done in 2 1/2 weeks. Nothing really changed. My % stayed the same. It was just reviewed and approved. Paperwork was sent mirroring what I was given during the IDES process. I got paid about 2 weeks after it was finalized...a week after i got the information in the mail. As soon as it says completed you can go in ebenefits and review VA documents. It will tell you what % and pay you will get. Its better than waiting on the stuff to be mailed. My counselor said it would take 3 months for the process to be completed...i took less than a month. Hope this helps

I also have not received anything. I checked ebenfits and see that I'm in "Pending Decision Approval" again. The status has been changing but I EASd July 30th as well. Wondering when I'm going to see some information. I called and they confirmed that my DD214 is on file.

Hey man,
I am out of lejeune, My package was sent out of here on 8/12 and was found unfit by the PEB in DC on the 8/21. I have a long list of stuff claimed as well. I still havent heard anything, but I do know with the whole Navy yard incident our process may be delayed for awhile. They were closed almost 5 days so that would probably push everything back. I would call your meb counselor who sent your stuff off and ask them to tell you when you were found unfit. It should be about 30 days or so from then. And dont look on ebenefits all it does it make you want to know more. Hope this helped

how do you find out when you are found unfit?

Does anyone else have "Requested Verification of Service" under "What We Still Need For Others?". Apparently the 1800 number says my claim is in the development stages and requested information from the National Records Center. I'm assuming this is the DD214? However, im obviously still active, anyone else encountered this yet?

Frank I am in this boat right now! what ever happened with yours??

Hey I EAS'd in the end of July and my new claim is under review and it has an estimated completion of up to December 2014. In the meantime, my paycheck was for less than $30 since mypay says i should be getting VA pay now. Anyone know what's going on and how long it takes?
