Waiting on 199

I've been lurking on this forum for 6-8 months. I'm being separated for two unfitting conditions and four more claimed. I signed my NARSUM on 19 DEC and everything had been going smoothly all along. A month or so ago I noticed that things seemed to have stalled, so I started calling around. I talked to the VA and they told me that my claim had been processed (Seattle) and forwarded back to the PEB on FEB 26. My understanding is that now the PEB is finalizing my paperwork and creating my 199 and forwarding it to my PEBLO to sign and that this process should take a matter of a couple weeks. Well, it's been 39 days and still no word... Is this normal, and if not, what actions can I take? Is there any way for me to see what the VA gave me for ratings?

They should be typing up your 199, what PEB are you out of? And there is a member on here who is a PEBLO out of Carson he can help you out with finding out where your ratings are and what the status of your 199 is. That is, If you are army.

Active Army, Fort Drum.

No, it is not normal.

You should have already received your 199... i honestly do not know why it would take so long right now. Message Sacsha on the forums and hopefully he can figure it out for you...

Did your PEBLO give you proposed ratings? When you call the VA you get useless information probably 99% of the time.

The thing people get confused about is the they call the 1800# and think they are really talking directly to where their claims is, the reps at the 1800# only get info based on what raters at the RO provides, so pretty much if the rater doesn't update then you won't be able to get any info from calling

But of you get a VA rep that understand the IDES, they can provide some very helpful information

I was lucky enough to have a smooth timeline but I hit a time last year around October I think where PEB system was down for about 3 weeks when I needed to get my unfit done but I was able to get my ratings completed dec 30 and was at home on leave Feb

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

I offer that you remain positively proactive and stay the course throughout your interactions while trying to secure the best solution for yourself and your loved ones.

Thus, I quite often comment "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

I spoke with the purple heart association this morning, they claim that my packet has a "suspense date" of 13 March and that my ratings are 30%dod and 70%va. I'm not sure if these are subject to change, so I'm not making any plans off them. They're a bit more than i had expected so I'm happy. I just would like my 199 to appear so I can sign off.

So as far as I can tell:
19DEC Signed Narsum
14JAN Packet sent to VA
26FEB VA finished ratings (sent back to PEB?)
13MAR Suspense date (whatever that is ???)
