I have no idea why this isn't anywhere posted on the internet regarding these codes. I have them on my unfit memo. I don't have my 199 yet. I should have it soon. My package was completed by the VA and sent back to the PEB on 15NOV12.V1,V2,V4 refers to section V (5) of the new 199. It was combat related status. They replaced 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d
V1 = combat operations / Combat simulated / Extra hazardous duty (Tax free disability pay for affected part)
V3 = Service before 24 Sept 1975 - old 10b (Tax free disabilty)
V4 = Combat related 26 USC 104 or 10 USC 10216 (tax free seperation pay)

I was told both by my Nurse Case Manager and my MSC that it should be like 2-3 weeks.Give yourself some time. Unless you are expidited, or any service (not the Army), plan on 2-3 months before you will see a 199.

I never got a copy of the proposal. Here is my timeline:Give yourself some time. Unless you are expidited, or any service (not the Army), plan on 2-3 months before you will see a 199.
Were you able to get a copy of your proposal?
I am sorry to hear that you have been in it for 8 months. I believe that no Soldier should be in this for over 6 months. I am in my 4th month since it was initiated. I have only one disqualifying condition and two qualifying (Army) conditions. I know the ratings have been done. I just curious how long the 199 should be.Lightening expedited!!!! I'm 8 months into this joy-ride

I am sorry to hear that. When I get out I am going to try to work in the PEB or MEB portion of this as a civilian and try to expedite Soldier's process or at least try to keep Soldier's informed on their stuff.With the speed of everything else, your NCM is probably right. A week to you seems to equal a month to me.
You can get your proposed ratings before your 199?Sounds good Goatbreath, I am going to try to work with the VA too. I have my proposed ratings, so i hope everything moves quick now. Just waiting on the 199 too be sent from Pensacola. God bless and good luck to everyone.
