What is going on??

So today marks 2 months of me not knowing if I am found fit/unfit. why on earth is it taking so long? is this normal? I already signed and turning in all my paper work to the IPEB 2 months ago. my peblo isn't much help or atleast not try to show that she is cares. who can I contact to see what is going on with my package? is anybody else going through this?

p.s. I know that ratings take 1-3 months but I am not waiting for them yet. I am looking for a fit/unfit answer first.

thank you for your replies and I will keep yall updated as I am updated.
may everyone elses process be smoother then mine.

Dang..I can't be much help because I haven't even got word on coming in to sign my NARSUM. However, at the base I'm at there is a few VA reps one of which is patient advocacy. You could try talking to someone like that. Also, is it possible that perhaps you've already been found unfit but haven't received word yet? I've read on these forums that people have called IDES or the navy yard themselves and gotten word that way. Idk the # or anything but maybe someone who reads this will. Best of luck to you. Sorry to hear you've been waiting so long.

Call the OAC if you are Air Force. Everyone's first stop after submitting their package to the IPEB is to get an attorney appointed from the OAC. All the info I've found out has come from the OAC, not my PEBLO, unfortunately.

I finally received my unfit memo- took exactly a month-

I go and talk to my peblo once a week and she says the same thing "nothing yet" I have lost all faith in her. It's like I'm asking too much of her to do her job. She claims to have a bunch of cases but I talked to her assistant and she said she only had 5 other cases.

my timeline is going ok so far but air force finds out if you're unfit before anything

In my experience (AF also) they won't let you know fit/unfit until your ratings are back. I was given notification of both on the same day. Hope you hear something soon.

Yes i think it's just the initial AFPC unfit it does not mean any of my conditions are rated unfit I haven't done cnp yet it's just a screening for people to avoid meb it seems, MEB starts as soon as the unfit comes from AFPC I just had my teleconference to list conditions they had most of them but I'm glad I researched conditions already because they did not have my bilateral carpal tunnel, teeth grinding, skin condition scalp, scars from my surgeries, tinnitus/hearing loss probably a few more I can't think of, ended up with 18 total. I need to post a i_rilo tips thread.

I'm at that initial phase myself. 37 profile back in Feb, and everything was finally submitted last week for the RILO. It's a bit unnerving as I'm a title 10 AGR sitting in a unfunded position. My DOS is 1-Oct-2015 and I'm freaking out because they haven't extended my orders yet. I have 19 years in service with 17 years 9 months of active service. It's really a kick in the nuts to have the funding pulled that close to sanctuary.

I was told by my PEBLO 2-4 months (maybe longer) for the IPEB results. You will get your ratings back with the results. I just signed my package last Thursday so I am in the last leg of the waiting game too. I really don't take much stock into anything my PEBLO tells me about timeframes though after meeting a few people here on this base that have gone/are going through this too and hearing all of the different time lines they've had for each step of the process. Hell, one guy got his results back from the IPEB in 10 days! So as much as it sucks, waiting is really the only thing to do...

PEBLO's are the ones who are suppose to be the "experts". They are civilian contractors (at least in the Army system) and if they are not doing their job- ie: answering questions, answering their phone/messages, being professional in their contact. etc.. Their supervisor needs to know that they are not doing their job. Most supervisors are very knowledgeable and will take the time to answer questions, look into what is happening, fix what is wrong.

The thing is that PEBLOS know when you are found unfit it just depends if they want to tell you they are not obligated to. That's why you hear 2-4 months after you sign. In reality it's 3 weeks max for the PEBLOS to receive fit/unfit. Right now my peblo doesn't know what my status is. It's been 2 months and I am very frustrated

Like I had stated- it took a month for my fit/unfit. I have copy and it's dated when it was signed. Mine was also just emailed to me- no phone call.

If you are Air Force, you can call the OAC and ask them to check the system for your AF356, or you can call AFPC/DPSD and hope they don't chew your ass out.

OAC: 665-8039
AFPC/DPSD: 665-5655

In either case, plead ignorance and don't waste their time.
