Ask your Dr. They can't just kick you to the curb during your recovery. They are required to extend you until you hit your medical decision point. What this means is you will either fully recover, or have reached a point in your recovery that will not improve anymore. If you hit that point, and are not returned to duty, they are required to enter you into IDES.

The Dr should code you via a profile, and then you need to see the personnel people to ensure you are coded in the system to continue until the MEB is done, or you return to duty.

thanks for the reply.. well here is an update I went to my pre-op apt this morning talked with the doc and everything sign the paperwork come to find out he had to call bupers to get the go ahead with the surgery. I got a call about 2hours later to find out that bupers denied my surgery and for me to go though with the VA after I get out to get my surgery. so in my case I guess I got screwed over by the navy. talked to the nurse to have my paper work ready to get off limdu to separate. is there anything I can do?

reenlist? extend?

I would but I denied my PTS quota like 10 months ago before I went Limdu thinking I was just goin to ride my time out come t find out a month later when I went to the dr he put me on Limdu so yea screwed myself over so idk I guess I gotta separate
