Hello all! I have already received my proposed VA ratings (100%) and DOD (90%). I was rated at 50% for anxiety/panic attacks/depression as part of my rating. Because I am an AGR Soldier my unit still expects me to perform to standard (there are only two of us supporting and entire unit of 150 Soldiers) I can't. It is as simple as that. I have daily panic and anxiety attacks and am on strong medications which help bring me down from the panic attacks specifically. I am currently in this gray window where I am expected to report and perform my duties but I have been found unfit for duty. In addition to 50% for behavioral health, I am also rated at 50% for Migraine (2-3 per week and incapacitating), 60% for systemic lupus, and 30% for other issues.
So my question is this: Convalescent leave. I know that a Hospital Commander can approve convalescent leave for an excess of 30 days. Has anyone heard of this being done for Soldier waiting to process out? I'm desperate at this point. We had actually looked at transfering me into a WTU but at this point, it is only a matter of weeks before I have my orders. I just need something to cover me until then.
Thanks!

They said it wasn't exactly appropriate for my situation and that this real problem was that they needed to just rush my orders. I told him that they were backlogged. He said he was going to try to make some phone calls but I did not get the impression that he was very dependable and have since heard nothing from him. How is conleave not appropriate? I'm ill and have significant behavioral health issues which are being exacerbated by going to work. He said he didn't understand why they were still making me report everyday and I said that either I have to report for duty or I have to have a doctors note. My doctors are getting really fed up with creating notes for conditions which have resulted in 100% disability and are already clearly documented. Isn't that the biggest doctors note they could possibly need? I feel so exhausted and irritated by this entire process.
