What will happen?

Hello, I have a question regarding a knee injury. Been dealing with it for 7-8 months. Pain and instability can be severe. MRI showed showed trauma so my case was sent to ortho, however it was rejected because there was no PT or steroid shots done beforehand. The PA pushed it back through and mentioned that the trauma seems to have happened previous tojoining. Ortho accepted it the second time and scheduled anappointment that I'mcurrently waiting on. Questionis what will happen if it'sdetermined the trauma/injuryoccurred beforehand? Thanks!

I would ask why the assumption that the trauma/injury occurred prior to service? Did you report to medical that it had? If not, you need to have that rectified in your record ASAP. If the injury was pre-service, it may lower disability ratings.

The doc diagnosed it as a radial tear in my meniscus and foreign bodies floating around in the joint, possible lcl fraying. I was told that they can surgically remove the foreign bodies but I'll be stuck with the meniscus tear because it's unrepairable. They'll investigate the crucial ligaments when they operate. The doctor determined in probably happened while rucking or while in full kit during an exercise. Thanks for any help or info.

Is there "medical evidence" the injury EPTS? Is there "medical evidence" that the injury was never exacerbated by AD?

They aren't looking at as pre existing from my understanding. The meniscus tear was caused by a traumatic event and since it can't be repaired, from my understanding I will most likely be sent to an MEB. Kind of need knees to be functional in infantry.
