When do I select Dod or VA compensation?

I have Asked my PEBLO, VA rep, S1, Transitions, and no one can give me an answer. Is this even an option any more?

It is something you select in the VA claim form itself.

If you made a claim, you have already elected one or the other.

Thank you so much for the replys. Submitted the form to my VA Rep and he said "NO…If you are in the IDES program. You put all your claimed conditions on VA form 21-4138 or you fill out VA form 21-0819. All the information gathered is what is needed" at least I know now. It was one forms that I filled out day 1 of the MEB.

DFAS will send you a letter electing the best course of action dollar-wise for you. If you non-concur you reply to their letter.
