When will I receive my DD214?

Hello, everyone! My final out appointment with the MPF was on August 2nd, and I am on terminal leave until September 23rd. I was wondering when & where I would be able to obtain my DD214. Sept 23rd is a Saturday, and my MPF hasn't answered their phone all week. Do I just need to get it through milconnect after my DOS, or can I get it a few days early at the MPF? I want to get it submitted ASAP so that the VA can finalize my ratings. Thank you all!
 
I received my DD 214 on my first day as a civilian via secure email. How this happens varies by service component.
 
Update, in case anyone else has the same question; I was finally able to contact the MPF after two weeks of radio silence! I'm sure the response might differ from base to base. The person said that AFPC will upload the DD214 two weeks after my DOS, and it will be sent to my forwarding address. They said it also should be on milconnect at that time, but they seemed unsure.
 
Another update, since I almost messed this up (sort of). The DD214 was available in vMPF 24 hours after my DOS. They tell you many times to create a login for that, but I always thought that they were just referring to the DS Logon username and password. You need to create a DIFFERENT username and password to log on to afpcsecure! That will grant you access to vMPF after you surrender your CAC to access your DD214. It's in the Self Service Actions section where you filled out your DD214 worksheet.
