Retire or PEB - What gets the most money?

I need some help from all the smart folks on here...

Been in for 22 year and am going through PEB process a second time.. don't ask... so I'm trying to figure out which option will get me the most money in retirement.

So here's the question: Is it better to go through the PEB again and go for medical retirement or just retire normally?

Here's what I know: Currently the consensus is that my VA exams will likely result in a 100% rating. We think my DOD rating will be 70% with some percentage of combat related special compensation.

The goal: I'm trying to figure out which route will give me the most monthly income the rest of my life.

Whether medical or normal retirement, you cannot receive more than your LOS amount + full VA compensation.
*Exception, if your DoD medical retirement amount exceeds both LOS + VA, then you would receive the DoD amount. Most people will not fall within the exception.
 
You won't get more than the 55% if you get concurrent receipt. The rest will be waived. But your spouse will get more SBP when you pass away.
