First, I want to thank this PEB board for the help in my successful medical board last year. I was assigned to the PDRL with 50% DOD and 100% VA in November 2016. However, I received a letter from HQMC TDRL board telling me to make an appointment as part of my routine 18 month TDRL re-examination. Of course, I am utterly confused as to why I am being asked for TDRL re-examination when I was assigned to the PDRL. I still have my PDRL letter.

I am currently studying abroad and it would be a major inconvenience to travel back to an unnecessary appointment. I am assuming this is all just fat-finger error in the system from some LCpl.

Do these mix-ups happen often? Should I be worried enough to contact a VSO/disability lawyer or would a simple concerned phone call fix this?

Thank you for your assistance.

In my opinion, indeed, you should immediately contact the HQMC TDRL department to explain your current situation. As such, it would seem that your situation should be rectified expeditiously since you are in possession of a DoD military PDRL letter. Take care!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer!"

Best Wishes!

Seems to me that a phone call and possible fax of your PDRL letter would be a first and easiest option.

I started to panic when I first saw this random TDRL letter threatening me to muster for an evaluation and wondered if I should escalate with this a VSO rep. But from what I read above and fax & relentless calling will hopefully remedy this, quickly. Thank you gentlemen for you advice.

Indeed, you are quite welcome! :)

Hopefully, an expeditious favorable resolution is forthcoming. Take care!
