I was medically retired and put on TDRL at 50% after 2 years 2 months AD Navy. I just did my 5yr reexamination to determine pdrl or not. Just curious, what does medically retired pay even look like with that short of a service time?

Your retired pay will be the DoD disability percentage x average high three base pay (high three will be the average of all the retired pay you received (example; total retired pay divided by 26 months).

Your retired pay will be reduced by the amount of VA compensation.
CRSC might replace some of the reduced retired pay. Collection of CRSC information LINK <—-

Thank you! I've been 100% p&t through VA so I'm assuming it will always outweigh DoD retired pay.

Hello @hannahsinay

Yes, that is likely. The VA compensation at 100% is $3000+ as you already know.
