IPEB Timeline

So I spoke with VERA and they said my claim is now in the Ready for Decision phase meaning I should be hearing something soon on ratings no exact date for when.

Has there been any update on your case? If not maybe give them a call for a better update.
Spoke with PEBLO yesterday (12/5) AFPC has found me unfit and currently waiting for VA ratings

12/6: Checked VA website today and it shows my claim was closed but no rating info, hopefully this is accurate and I’ll be hearing from PEBLO soon with proprosed DOD/VA ratings

I had an open VA claim when I started Ides in the army guard back in march 2022. Caused a couple delays lol. That open claim closed in Aug 2022. 100% P&T. Then the MEB gutted my profile, said that all of my conditions were fit except one and referred me to the PEB in early Sept 2022. I’m still waiting on my VA Ides claim as of today. You think it would be quicker seeing as my other claim closed a couple months ago. I got some real #@$& on my MEB. LDES would have been worse. Probably the same people
I would have challenged them in a formal board for the fit findings......alot of times they try to find you fit on the things that will cost them in the long run...they have military attorneys that will fight for you on the boards

so with me, its kinda skrewed, the The Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) at my base Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) sent my Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) package to the Air Force Personnel Center Physical Disability Operations Branch. The Physical Disability Operations team is reviewing my package to ensure the documentation is current and complete. Once it is verified my package is complete, Physical Disability Operations will transfer my completed package into a Disability Evaluation System (DES) case file for review by the IPEB. I was told it would take them 6 months to a year to come up with a decision of FIT/UNFIT which is just BS, they have all the documentation they need and its just a set of eyes that is needed on the paperwork....I guess I can play their game and MILK my time while in uniform collecting a paycheck....it just utter BS that it is taking them so flipping long...

Take a look in MyFSS and make sure your case wasn't returned to the PEB office for some reason. It happened to mine and is the only reason everything is taking so long for me.

I go to MyFSS and there is nothing there....what section of MyFSS do I need to go to?

**Update**
1 April 22- Code 37
4 April - CC Impact Statement (Do not retain)
24 Aug NARSUM submitted (took about 4 months to complete)
12 Sep - Full MEB/PEBLO brief
21-29 Sep- VA exams
4 Oct- Exams in TOL
18 Oct- PEBLO updated that local MEB team will be convening soon
25 Oct- signed 618/ UNFIT (PEBLO said VA in backlogged to give about 1.5mo to 2 for proposed rating to come back)
28 Oct- AFPC Pckg Rec'vd email

**25 Nov-Spoke with VERA, case is in "Ready for Decision" phase
5 Dec- reached out to PEBLO for unfit/fit decision--was found unfit, waiting for VA ratings
6 Dec- checked VA.gov, case has been moved to closed
7 Dec- received myFSS email stating PEB has sent proposed rating and disposition recommendation to PEBLO should be hearing from him within 24-48 hrs to review/sign 1180

Everything seemed to move through the system pretty quickly, hopefully everything is accurate and I can be done. Anybody wondering, I'm only up for one disqualifying condition and only claimed 7 disabilities for now to get through it

It should be right on the home page labeled "MyFSS Cases" then under that it says open and closed.

I have one that says closed from when my PEBLO forgot to include some paperwork and nothing currently under open even though I got the email from myfss saying that they received it.

Yha...there is 0 cases and 0 messages....I called AFPC and had them send me over to someone who would get a message to the disabilities section asking what the heck is going on since they have had my paperwork for over 6 months

My case went to the VA on the 27th of October. Gives me a little bit of hope seeing you've got your ratings coming to you.

Met with PEBLO today to sign 1180 DOD 50% TDRL /VA 100%. Final out projected for 10 Jan should get official orders within 48 hrs

PEBLO informed me he’s received a lot of closed cases this week seems as far the VA is pushing them out before Christmas. Hopefully yours is next down the pipeline

Really giving me hope because we are pretty much the same on timelines except I haven’t gotten my ratings yet.

The Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) at your base Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) sent your Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) package to the Air Force Personnel Center Physical Disability Operations Branch. The Physical Disability Operations team is reviewing your package to ensure the documentation is current and complete. Incomplete MEB packages are returned to your base PEBLO for correction as it is vital the information is accurate and current in order for the Informal Physical Evaluation Board (IPEB) to make a determination. Once it is verified your package is complete, Physical Disability Operations will transfer your completed package into a Disability Evaluation System (DES) case file for review by the IPEB.

I got this same notification yesterday. You are saying that this part alone will take 6 month to a year or until we get a rating/ decision and get out? I will not be able to last another year they have given me hell on several forms to even get my package together and started. I need advice to mentally get through this. They really need more people working these cases. FML

So there is another thing you can do....and I am doing this right now!!! You can find out who your congressman or senator is that represents your district that you live in and request that within their local office they have a military liaison and request a Congressional Inquiry be conducted, you will have to type of a memorandum of your situation and all the parties involved so they can have your Senator begin with the congressional Inquiry...From what I hear, this really gets the ball moving because if it does not! then the next move would be to go NATIONALLY to expose the injustice.

I have not received any ratings yet my package is going to the Air Force Personnel Center Physical Disability Operations Branch first. I don't understand how you got ratings first then they sent it there that does not make sense. I hope you have movement soon!

So, in my case I am a full time Air National Guard Technician. When I was on Active orders before I was a Technician in 2009 , I received a disability while serving on orders. I turned in paperwork to VA and received a percentage....as time went on my disability got to 100% P&T and now they are putting me out of the Guard which in turn causes me to lose my Technician job as well.

Oh, I see. I'm sorry about that. I am active duty so our process will be a bit different I guess.
