I feel my board is taking too long. I'm not sure if it's the "system" but im at a point where I just need a reality check from those who have gone through the process to tell me if it is taking too long or not. Here are the timelines
Feb 15th 2022 - Got phone call from my on base Med board facility to meet my peblo and start the process
April 28th, 2022 - finished my last VA exam
June 13th 2022 - Got a "claim for compensation updated" on the VA website
August 15 2022 - Got a call from my peblo saying he has my NMA (non medical assessment) and to come sign it.
Somewhere between August and October my claim on the VA website disappeared. It doesn't show any history of a claim that got put in on VA or ebenefits so I called the VA and they told me the claim is still there. Fast forward to December I call the PEB to see if they can tell me any update on my case and they told me my case is still with the VA still awaiting a decision.
It's now January and my EAS is at the end of Feb and l'm being told I'm going to have to be medically extended.
One more thing I'd like to add is that I have a buddy that's in my shop, he started his board 2 months after I did and he already got his findings late
November. We had similar claims aside from few that were different. I decided to be patient for all of December thinking maybe I'd get mine any week
now but it doesn't look like it.
Any advice would be helpful
