100% VA before TDRL expired

I separated Oct 2016 w/ 50% TDRL. I filed for a disability increase in March 2017 through VA and was deemed 100% p&t. I just had my 5 year reexamination in September and I'm eager to know how this MEB timeline goes and what the outcome could be.

Can I ask-- any update here? How long did it take? Also, did it have any affect on your VA rating?

T/PDRL are DOD categories and have absolutely no connection to VA benefits or ratings.

I would not say “no connection.” There are instances from members on this board where the respective services have used a VA PTSD re-examination to move a member to PDRL without further examination. The services also look at the VA medical records since separation in conjugation with the PDRL reexamination to determine final disposition.

That is 100% true.

But he asked if the TDRL reevaluation had any bearing or effect on your VA rating. And the answer is, no it does not. If DOD decides to raise or lower your percentage as they move you from tdrl to pdrl, or if they lower your percentage below 30% and you go from tdrl to separate with a severance, it does not have any effect on your VA percentage. That is the question I was answering.
