TDRL Fit Finding Return to Duty

I have recently been found fit to return from Temporary Retirement after only 18 months of being medically separated from the Navy. I'm finding out this is a rare case. I haven't received any correspondence from PERS regarding my intent to reenlist. I reached out to PERS yesterday asking for assistance and they weren't sure what I needed to do besides going to talk to a recruiter. They are working on the problem and supposed to get back to me soon. Can anyone on here offer any guidance on what is supposed to happen next?

I had an Airmen that this happened to about 20 years ago. He got orders in the mail. USN probably does it differently.

Does anyone know what Instructions or regulations actually govern the TDRL procedures once you are found fit and able to reenlist? I can't find any documentation stating exactly what to do once your are found fit or what the exact process is. I would like to know the regulations going in to the recruiting office that way I can't be jerked around by the recruiter or MEPS.

Was that your decision, to return to duty?
I was forced out medically. I was out approximately two years and the board decided I’m fit for duty. None of it was my decision. It’s a hot mess. Now there’s the possibility I could go back to MEPS and still be disqualified from reenlisting.

PERS doesn't re-enlist you. Have to go to a recruiter, with all the paperwork showing you're fit. You'll go back through MEPS for medical, then if accepted, get a first set of orders as "needs of the Navy."

I received the email attached below, responded but have not received my fit documentation. When I contacted the person in this email she said she did not know what documentation I needed and contacted her manager for assistance. This was 5 days ago. I still have not heard back. I contacted them again and she said she was still waiting on an answer.

When you sign your TDRL eval, you’re agreeing with the decision. If you disagreed you should’ve appealed their decision.

Finally heard back from PERS. They are stating that I only have 30 days to meet with th recruiter and start reenlistment. I still have not received my documentation. I requested they send me the guidance or instructions that states I only have 30 days. I still have not received it. Can anyone verify this or provide the instruction that states this. I have done a ton of reading and looking on my own and have not found anything that states I only have 30 days.

Yeah, that's not what the 30 days are for. You're misunderstanding, or there's been a miscommunication. You can take as long as you want to go to the recruiter.

Did you ever find the answers for this? I’m going through the process and seen that my rate and rank would be restored regardless of quotas, etc,. Is there a time limit on that offer once I was found fit? Did you end up going to a recruiter?
