I started my MEB process in November 2010 it is nowJanuary 2011 but I guess compared to most my process is not as slow as others. However since my unit does not follow my full profile because they stated it is a recommendation time is of the essence.

I completed all of my VA exams by the end of December somtimes it's easier if you go in after hours to get appointments done because they have more slots availble. I spoke to my PEBLO regarding the next step and I have been waiting on my NARSUM for about a month.

Woke up early last week since the MEBB assistant does not give any information regarding NARSUM went down spoke to my MEBB PA in person. He sat me down and began creating my NARSUM file onsite stated he would call me to come in and verify and sign waiting on the call it has been 2 days but I am sure he will call within the next day or so.

From what I hear after NARSUM is complete my file will be sent up to D.C for review then a fit/unfit rating will come back.

Does anyone know how long I might have as of today?

Really hard to tell how long, because I don't think it is done First In First Out?!?!?
 
My Husband's packet was supposedly sent to Walter Reed, DC on the 6th of January 2011. His PEBLO told him they were out as long as 80 days.... I truly hope this is wrong!

Nope, that is the timeline right now. Mine was sent 16 Sept to DC, returned for more info 9 Dec so it took them that long to look at it.
 
Mine went to SA TX PEB and I had unfit rating in 4 days then it went to VA where it took 3 weeks, now just waiting on orders. It all depends on the complexity of your case.
 
Ok I just came back off leave and I signed my NARSUM today 03/02/11! I called VA to check on the status of my claim since my PEBLO stated that my file will be up in Washington for approximately 1-2months, and once returned I will find out if I am deemed fit/unfit. He then stated it can take up to 6 months to receive the VA rating, which seemed a bit longer than what I was originally told. I called the VA at 1-800-827-1000 to check on my claim status, they stated it has been reviewed and just awaiting rating I asked them how long the process can take they stated it can take up to 60 days (Received December).
 
Congrats on getting your NARSUM! I met with the MEB Dr. Who is supposed to be completing my NARSUM on 30 Nov. Anyone know if it should be taking this long? I email my peblo and he just keeps saying it some times takes awhile. BS! Any suggestions on what I can do? or should I just keep waiting? Thanks!
 
May 25,2011 received unfit findings from Walter reed. Now waiting on VA rating. PEB stated it could tk 3-6 months but he stated that their cutting the wait time to 15 days so hoping I get orders soon. Check VA web site my case is now in phase two states it cld tk 28 days. We shall see just happy to know that this is almost done. I'm home on quarters because I am unable to put pressure on my feet hope I get out soon so I can relax and rejuvenate.
 
Decision phase and waiting... Ok so it's been almost 28 days and im still waiting on percentage. I emailed V.A. They sd my claim is almost done stated a decision (percentage) was found on the 16 of June 2011 but had to be reviewed before I receive findings.. Ughh it's now June 29 and I have not heard anything. The military won't release me until I get the percentage bck. Most say that's good but I wld rather be home resting up getting better and ready for surgery instead of letting my condition get worse... Ok enough complaining just giving status does anyone have a better time range better yet has anyone received ratings yet...
 
No good news here. My package was received at the Seatle VA on April 24 and it is still in the developement phase.
 
70% I went online and entered the address that was listed on ebenefits.gov stated my claim was in Baltimore. Looked up web site they had a couple of listed numbers on the portal I called and left message a lady called me bck and gave me the number to the office there. They said my claim was determined on the 16 of June sent to my PEB with a 70% rating. Called my PEB he said my claim is with MEB he said they have to add their portion and he will notify me. Long story short even closer thank god!! Now hoping to be home waiting for surgery within the next month or so... Who rah
 
Question.... Went online to determine benenfits can anyone tell me what is retired pay differential? Says it's 21,704 is this how much the lump sum will be?
 
It should have chg once your PEB sent your singed package call up to VA 1800-827-1000 option 1,1,0 they should be able to help
