I haven’t been notified of fitness determination yet. Nor do I have DoD rating. My thread has everything I know on it but here is my current timeline:


8 Apr: Started MEB Process

13 May: Initial brief with PEBLO

22 May: Legal phone appointment

30 May: First C&P Exam

19 June: Last C&P Exam (7 Total)

02 July: All DBQs uploaded to Tricare Online

08 July: PEBLO received all DBQs. Signed NARSUM for all 3 referred conditions

11 July: Convening Authority signed off MEB, forwarded to PEB

06 September: Received Proposed Ratings from MSC and PEBLO: 100% VA
(57 days at the PEB)

07 September: Claim Closed on VA.Gov

PEBLO said I should get my DoD rating next week possibly the week after. Going to call the VA Monday to get my proposed rating emailed to me (even though I already know it)

09 September: proposed rating emailed to me from VA. Didn’t disclose anything new and only took 2 calls back to back

@CoastalGroup ok thanks! Did you receive your UNFIT decision the same day you received your ratings from your MSC or did you receive that sooner?

I didn’t receive a FIT/UNFIT decision yet. Only VA proposed rating. I’m expecting it when I get my DoD rating hopefully this week or next. I will post an update same day I hear anything back.
 
Wow, I thought you only recevied your FIT/UNFIT decision, then your DOD rating, then the VA would finally give you your proposed ratings....I guess that's good and bad news. Just more of the waiting game I suppose.

I’ve seen basically every variation on this forum. My opinion is just due to the case differences between us and the employees actually working on our cases. I would assume you are found unfit once your claims make it to the VA and back to the PEB but due to everyone getting different results at different times it’s all just a guessing game. The only common theme right now is most people are spending between 55-65 days at the PEB before getting any real updates.

Yea man judging by that timeline I have 2-3 more weeks before I hear something meaningful back about my case

I spoke with John Schwanke over at Navy Wounded Warrior on 28AUG and he told me I was deemed UNFIT by PEB, I should hear back on my VA rating within the next 3-5 weeks, and the final DOD rating might take a minute.
 
@Vadim Damn, you got your unfit decision back quick compared to when the PEB accepted your case….i’m still waiting lol
 
Has anyone talked with Jeff the last 2 days? I know the system was down Tuesday but it’s still just going to voicemail.

Guess I am just that broken lol. Fingers-crossed we hear something on your case soon! Same with all of us having some luck getting a hold of Jeff.
 
@Vadim lol yea, and thanks! I did talk to Jeff last Tuesday and he said that I should hear something back by the end of last week so I strategically told myself it’ll realistically be by the end of this week to manage my expectations however after the system going down Tuesday who knows when that update will come now. Idk whether or not the system going down affect things internally or just affected how or when they update the system…this is so stressful idk why they just don’t have a central data base that we have access to like the VA app or their website where we can see exactly where our cases are in the process, it would reduce so many missed calls, worries, and anxiety that I’m sure most of us already have going through this process.
 
Same here, the phone rung a few times earlier like around 7:45 or 8am but he never answered now it's just going straight to voice mail
 
Yeah I’m sure he gets a ton of calls everyday so maybe he turns it to voicemail at certain times to get work done without interruptions. I still agree there should be some sort of tracking system…. Similar to LIMDU SMART where you can see what step it’s in. That would alleviate a ton of stress,calls, and redundant work
