MEB requiring TDY to MTF with a sleep center

I’m currently undergoing a MEB for Idiopathic Hypersomnia. I’ve completed all my C&P exams and even received all the DBQs. However, I was recently informed that the Air Force is requiring me to re-test at a military treatment facility since my IH diagnosis was made at a civilian center.

This has been stressful, as I know it will delay the MEB process. It also requires a two-week weaning period off my current medications and a TDY to another state since my local MTF doesn't have a sleep center.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation and been able to appeal it?

For context, my original testing was done at a well-established civilian academic hospital—does that carry any weight in these cases?

Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There is no appeals that you can do. Just follow orders and go get it done. There are many times in this process where you get delays that are stupid but ultimately you don't have a say in it unless the condition isn't referred. if its not a referred condition then you can just talk to MSC and drop the claim for that condition and bypass it. Since your MEB is for a sleep disorder you will just need to suck it up and ween off meds and go do the sleep study again where they want you to do it.
