Stuck at VA for ratings ( new info!!!!)

Jesse H... 5 months is the expected time line for anyone with mutliple claims on VA side. Those that have 1-4 claims will be done in 2 weeks to 2 months. (I go check weekly to MEB Jag office, Ombudsman, the VA, and my PEBLO office of any updaes on timelines or the current rumours.)

picard... just means that it hit PEB, they are reviewing your packet and then will send to VA, nothing will be updated until the VA finds it's ratings and sends it back.

I have a question, I asked my PEBLO and he says he has no information, I asked the Ombudsman and he looked about 2 weeks ago and said my packet was there but it has not been worked, at the time that I asked, my packet had been ther for 8 weeks. Should I keep bugging my Obmudsman, becuase he is the only one who will tell me anything?? I asked the VA rep that I saw here on post and he said he has no way of seeing anything. I am just frustrated and want some answers of why my packet is there and not being worked.

Ok your question isn't too clear... Please rephrase your question more direct, exactly your status and what you want to know... Sorry

1. A PEBLO can not see anything on the VA side.
2. Your MSC (VA Rep) either doesn't have the right access to look, or they are too busy to look.
3. The Ombudsman has to request an update from the VA or the PEB, they don't have direct access.
 
Thanks for the information, you answered kinda of what I was wanting to know. The Ombudsman I spoke with said he does have access to see what's going on...hmmm???? I just was wondering if there was anyone in particular that I could contact to get the straight answer on what is going on with my packet? I will email my Ombudsman again on Monday to ask if anything has changed. Thank you again.

You can hit up Patient Advocacy and find out who of them deals with the MEB directly, that person can get an answer for you in a few days.
 
Mine is at review of evidence part as of the 19th. It was at the Pending Desision Approvel. I dont mind I would like to know how I could strech it out till next November.

There is no chance of that now, at most you could do a formal, but that would only delay a few months...
 
Did you have a sit down yet with a VA rep? That was my main source of info during my process. However as with everything depending on how good of a VA rep you have will make all the difference in the world.
 
I called my VA Rep and he told me he had no information for me and did not know how to get any information. I thought that was kind of strange. A friend of mine who just got his percentage a few weeks ago gave me a name of a guy at the VA to get information and he said he did not see anything either. I looked on eBenefits last night and saw my status said pending. I am happy for that information. I was happy to get my unft/fit memo. My Peblo still has not returned my phone calls.
 
Go to your local DAV or American Legion and complete a VA Form 21-22 giving the organization power of attorney to go in and view your case status with the VA. You will get more accomplished by doing this, as the DAV/American Legion, etc. can get into the system and get information that even your PEBLO or MSC cannot.
