    The 8 years only applies if you are being medically separated. If you are PDRL or TDRL then you could have served 90 days and still get to pick HOS

    If you haven't already when you call choose option 3 for forms and just tell them that you "noticed my claim closed on the website and it stated a letter was sent but unfortunately I will be out of town for a bit so I was hoping you would be able to email it to me."     To give some perspective my app closed Dec 20 and I signed Feb 19. So it could be anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months. Depends on a lot of factors.
