My single question is: yes VA disability is tax free, BUT, if you’re a 100% or 100% P&T and the VA can reevaluate you to decrease your rating, why not take DoD knowing you can never be reduced?

Scenario (hypothetical): I am in TDRL, if I am reduced to 30% PDRL can I buy back my AD years for a FERS pension or do I lose my ability to buyback (unless I waive retiree military pay). Any ideas how this works? Thanks @chaplaincharlie @Jason Perry

I don’t understand the difference between stable and getting better. I have a TDRL re-eval coming up. I have mental health disorder (MDD) that I was medboarded for. If I tell the evaluator I feel stable in the medication but can’t function without it won’t they reduce my rating to nothing...

Is this even an option like when people say choose VA pay because it’s tax free vs DoD? BUT, although PDRL DoD pay is taxed, it will never change vs VA pay can always be adjusted and reevaled thus possibility to lose money, correct?

Well, you just have to go through military channels, stick with that don’t use other insurance.
