  • Hope someone might be able to help me out. I am 100% P/T from the VA. 100% PDRL from the Army. I just recieved my finding from CRSC findings letter say approved 100% Combat Related. I recieved a letter from the Army saying pay would be 2000 a month roughly, but since I am VA at $3200 a month, how much would I be looking at for CRSC?

Not sure if the letter from the Army was for CRSC or regular pay. If from CRSC board, you will get the additional $2000. If it is not from CRSC board, you should get a letter stating what amount you will receive.
I am an active duty E-4 with 6 years in they starting my meb and I was diagnosed with CRPS/RSD. I had to do an EMG/ nerve conduction and I was unable to complete it because of the severe pain. I was trying to get guidance since this is a hard disability that no one knows about. Will me not completing the EMG hurt my MEB? Thank you for your time.
I am an active duty Air Force E7 with chronic lower back pain. They haven't found anything wrong through xrays, etc but are considering meb. I can do my job an/ deploy, I just can't run / walk the fitness test because of pain so I get waived from that component alot. I've never failed a fit test ever. Is there a chance I'll be medically retired/seperated? Or not likely? I want to stay in but im concerned. Thanks.
I was wondering if you could find out whether or not someone can decline retirement and take severance instead? It is a very long story..I explained it all in a post to Maparker. thank you.
I recieved my PDBR letter on the 24th of Feb 2012 that I was being retired at 30%. I haven't heard anything else since that time. I'm a little worried that something is wrong or something was lost. I guess the letter was sent to ther Deputy Commandant, Manpower & Reserve Affairs, USMC from the Director, Secretary of the Navy Council of Review Boards. What should I do????? Any #'s or emails I should call of write????

I am about to post a response to this question you asked in the forums. Please look that response over. As a baseline, it has been to long since your findings for you to not have received an update.

    Thank you. I'll start tomorrow.
I have serviced in the Air Force for 12 years and I developed a chest pain problem 8 years ago it seems to change names from month to month, but I am to the point of agree/disagree with the 10% they want to give me. The VA has a overall 50% pay out for everything. I want to know if I need a lawyer to get at least 30% and receive medical retirement instead of just a check and a kick.

It is hard to predict much without knowing more about your case. As it stands, the 10% current rating does not seem promising, but without knowing any additional facts it is hard to tell if that is an appropriate outcome and what might be needed to get to at least 30%. If you are interested in legal services, feel free to email me at [email protected] .

Hope all goes well for you.
The Dept. of the Army said that they disagreed with the PDBR majority vote 30% and instead side with the one minority vote 20% therefore retirement is denied. I thought the whole purpose of the PDBR is to review these injustices that were done and come up with a fair decision. What is the purpose of the PDBR if they put the decision back in the hands that rendered the injustice in the first place.

Can't really comment meaningfully on "purpose" or such- the reality is that they have apparently gone against that purpose. But, the fact that the PDBR voted in your favor would seem to suggest you have a good basis for winning an appeal. Sounds like you got a raw deal and it may make sense to fight this. Good luck!
I just had several appointment recently and it turns out that my medical conditions that i was diagnosed with is a lot worse than I though it was. Not to mention when I was in the Marines I never noticed how much an effect these conditions had on me. It affects my every day living now. How would I go about getting re evaluated and would I have to hire an attorney?
Jason. I need a lawyer. The PDBR found in my favor but today I got word the Army denied my claim. My case is complicated and I am hoping a good attorney can represent me in court.
Jason for over a year I have been waiting for the Army to complete my exit/DD Form 214. My a brain injury and the VA was completed my IDES on 28 JUN 2012 and PEB finally completed 15 Sep 2012, who long does a Active Duty Soldier with 30+ years of service to get my Exit papers. I have not worked since my Stroke (5Oct11). The VA rated me at (actually 210%) 100% and Army 70%.
    Thanks, SFC Smith
Ok so if the VA rated me for a left shoulder injury and did so based on it being my non dominant hand, but in fact it really is my dominant hand, how easy of a fix is that? Also, if I got rated 20% based on my non dominant hand, wouldn't my rating increase?
