  • My formal MEB is 5 Aug. Based on VASRD codes I think I'm coded incorrectly for my lower back, 5242 and my PTSD 9422? I read in the Disability Counceling Guide for PEB Liaison Officers "if a member disagrees with any of the entries on the AF Form 356" I should ask for a formal hearing to insure the info is correct?
Is it to late to ask for help?

Also, I hit my 29 year mark on 13 Nov 09. Is there anything I can do to just retire?

I e-mailed my congressman last night and hopefully he can assist me.

My CC is not consistant regarding how she decides if a person can stay in or not, the CC letter. I asked her if she would give me a letter stating I deserve a 20 year retirement; she said she would look into this.

Sorry for the long e-mail, but I'm really depressed and angry at what has and is happening to me.

They did approve my wife to accompany me as I'm a mess, cant remember and my pain is extremely bad. I feel like the enemy and wrong the way we are treated!

    Thank You!
    Hello Jason,
I recently recieved my 1st TDRL evaluation and I got back a informal offer of 40% PDRL code 5240. I am thinking of submitting a revaluation request so they rate the active portion of the athritis disease under the 5009 code. I could accept that and try to get my 40% rating through the VA increased. I have severe Aklyosising spondilities also know as AS. what do you think? call me 703-980-1221 or email [email protected] . thank you
Hello- I was wondering if you have ever seen Chronic Idiopathic Neutropenia rated? It is not listed on the ratings under blood diseases. I also take Neuprogen injections every day for it. Thanks.

    Jason,

I have my formal at Randolf on July 19 - 21. I'm aloud to bring my wife as I'm phsically and mentally unable to give 100% because of my PTSD and Cronic Back pain and or side effects. How much would it cost to get you to represent me. Jason, I just can't get it together and I have to do the best for my wife and daughter.

I'm trying to find out the best course of action for my fiance which was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis while deployed. Her doctor told her that she is not 100% sure if this is the right diagnose since she is not responding to any of the medication for this chronic disease, her doctor is not sure what she has. She is going thru the meb board proceeding and the board granted a 50% disability. The question is, should she appeal the decision in hope that she can qualify for medical retirement?
I have read parts of this regulation , and I want know about a lod that I have open sence 2003 and at that time no body was worry for it, 6 years (2009) they are working with it another commander knows that i have try that it was complete at 2003 2004 ...5.... 6....7 and 2007 they sent me to a medical board and separate me from national guard , I let know of my lod but they separate me I sent a form 149 to correction of records and they tell national to bring me back, they cannot separate me I have 18 years and 8 mounth, sow I am back, but what happend when national guard of puerto rico was sent to kuwait and irak they dont sent me becuase my lod was open, cuase of that i am not a veteran , buI what i sad no body complete it, whos resposable for that .I had lost to be a veteran and serve my country and money
I need a Lawyer to represent me at the Board of military corrections. Would you represent me. If you aren't available could you recommend someone who is Thanks David Seaquist
I received a PEB board results 21 May reducing my disability from 40% TDRL to 20% and serverance without benefits. I sent in my request for Formal Board to argue the reduced disability % on June 1st via email, and received a reply next day stating it was received. Today I received a letter stating I since I had not replied in the required 15 days I would be severanced out. Is there anything/anyone i can contact to straighten this mess out. I have the emails to prove I replied in time. I also received a second PEB orders to be re-evaluated shortly after the first PEB results showed up. My TDRL Coordinator told me not to worry about the second set of orders. Seems to me the Navy just wants to pay me off and cut off my disability benefits and get me off Tricare. Any help would be great!!!
What can I do if I don't want to wait on my re-evaluation? Is there anyone I can contact? HRC? I just wish I would have faught harder to stay in. I have a great job, but I miss serving my country and leading soldiers.
    Jason,

I recently got back my IPEB findings and they rated me with 20% for my ankle fusion under the VA code 5271. I also had an unfit condition of Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). I'm not sure what the RSD should be rated under in the VSARD and it looks like the PEB didn't even rate it. Do you know what that could be rated under? Because I'm going to appeal this finding. Thanks for any information you can give.

    Jason,
Thank you so much, I have found a couple of things to occupy me, I'll just keep getting up every morning until this is over. My doc said, one day at a time. I'll have to go with that. A medication change has helped as well.

Many blessing to you and the forum!
Jason - I would like to begin my VA evaluation but am not co-located with my MEB/PEB board. The DAV reps here at Travis AFB are telling me I have to wait until I have a copy of my DD 214 before I can begin the process. I thought there was a program for AD to jump start the program so that we would be able to receive our benefits upon discharge. Is this not the case? Also, I'm hoping that if I can get the VA eval done it will support my appeal of the iPEB findings of "Fit due to insufficient evidence."
