If the service connect condition is combat related and you go through the board process some of your retirement would be tax free. 18 months is an expected date before you will recieve any rating or money from the VA if you take that route. You can always let it ride till retirement date, then...
VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities ( VASRD) it is the bible the VA uses to decide your rating based on condition.
Do not wait till you meet with board and VA before meeting legal, that can sometimes be too late.
Fort Bliss has nothing to do with how fast your PEB comes back, no single post has the ability to make the PEB work faster. I know one active case at my post right now that has been at the PEB in washington state for 120 days. Right now expected turn around is at least four months
I have until May19 2013.

Not sure what you mean by the above statement of May 19? If this is your ETS date it is not important. If you are in the MEB/PEB process after the surgery and get to your ETS date with your permission they will do a medical extension until you complete the...
Your soldier counsel should be working your case before you report to the board. Dont wait for them to contact you. You will never get more than one day before to report to the board.
For 12 years I have gotten all my medical care at the VA. No insurance needed, so don't panic. Also look at working for DOD or the VA, great insurance programs. Sorry I can't help you with a company. Please go see the VA counselor or the VBA

Livewire is correct you need a min. Of 30%. Not sure who would tell you your case is cut and dry and you would be getting 20%. No one ever knows or should ever tell you what your % will be. No case is the same because every service member is unique. Make sure during your evaluation you list...
The VA where you work can not do your case due to employee status. Normally you will be sent to other VA hospital within your region, because of distance and cost to pay your travel your va may decide to process you through a independent.
Question back to you are there any medical records with this conditions? If yes you have already proved it to the VA.
If no you need to address it ASAP to the VA so there no time lap from you service time.
Now the answer to your question. The VA will always send you to a doctor to make a...
PEBLOs are normally civ., but can be enlisted or officers. PEBLOs handle cases over several states. Did some checking today and found Army MEB doc. have five days to complete the NARSUM, by as grizz13 stated there can be other extremes (90 days WOW)
I was also given the bad news that the future...
