New Easier to use crsc calculator

Greetings all,

I have looked at many of the different threads and the CRSC Offset still confuses me.

I am Ch61 retired PDRL on 09/30/24

Retired at E-5 after 12yrs 2mo 24 days

VA 100% P&T Spouse 3 Children Payment is $4413.63

DOD 100% Payment would have been $2884 with cap of 75%

CRSC was approved for 40%

I waived all DOD for VA

If I could get some help with an estimate it would be greatly appreciated.

The calculator shows $774.16 which is the exact same of 40% w/o dependents is this just a coincidence?

Just an FYI, your longevity cap would be $1,205.06 (I use current pay grade x 2.5% x length of service x .92 to get a pretty close guestimate for figuring out one's cap), so if the VA bumps up one of your approved ratings OR you have some other condition that can be claimed and approved to get to 50%, you would end up maxed. Do whatever you can to NOT leave anything on the table! CRSC pay scales = VA comp pay scales to include dependents OR longevity cap, whichever is less.

Remember this thread is just about announcing the calculator.

If you need an estimate just create a new thread asking for such.

Calculator works great. It was within $4 of my final DFAS amount, even the DFAS rep was impressed with the accuracy.

Good morning. Has anyone tried the CRSC Calculator recently? I plugged in the numbers I currently have and the CRSC amount was only 58% of the CRSC amount I'm currently receiving. This is what I'm inputting: My retired pay before deductions from my CRSC Pay statement/Gross pay from Retiree Account Statement as the Current Retired DOD Pay. My DVA Disability percentage as DOD disability percentage, my Combat Related Disability percentage as CRSC Total Award Percentage and my monthly VA Waiver as Monthly VA Pay. I know my years of service is 15 years and I believe I have an additional 2-3 months. I've tried the calculator with both 15 years and 2 months and 15 years and 3 months. Am I inputting the data correctly? My current CRSC amount is 330 but in the calculator it shows 192. I wanted to see how my CRSC would increase if my VA % increased to 90%. But if its not accurately showing my current CRSC payment with my current numbers, it wont show an accurate increase if my numbers change.

I was medically retired years ago and I'm not in the Blended retired system, if that matters.

Thank you
