12301(h) and promotions

Was recently told I will have to go from title 32 to title 10. I am currently promotable and on the list. I have 21 years of active federal service time(15 years Active Army, 6 years AGR), no traditional Guard time. Going title 10, what does that mean for my promotion? I know what the regs state had I stead title 32, I don’t know if it changes anything since I am going title 10. Someone help? @RonG sorry to tag you but you seem to be the expert in most all of this stuff. Anyone have experience join in.

Hello @mikehoncho

I will have to punt to @Provis and @Guardguy11 . I was regular Army for 20+ AD and did not have any reserve time except inactive reserve between the end of my time as a draftee and reenlistment 25 months later.

I think you will get an accurate answer from them and possibly others.

No worries Ron G. I have talked with my DES attorney and he gave me some good sources. I appreciate the help.

Part of the problem seems to be you have two separate IDs.

Recommend you send a message to @Provis . Use the letter ICON at top of page right corner.
